Congratulations to Mount Union on keeping their amazing tradition of excellence going.

Congratulations and thanks to Whitewater for representing the WIAC so well.  You have had a great two year run.

I just got back from Salem...

Good to see all the U-Dub-Dub fans at the game.  Congrats to the Warhawks on a great season, and wishing Coach B the best.

Was the offense that Whitewater featured in much of the game with the "Nevada half shotgun" the first time they revealed it this year, or was it one of their common offensive formations?

Congrats to Whitewater on making it to the big game two times in a row.  I am not sure what to expect in the WIAC with a new coaching staff @ UWW.

Good game, UWW.  MUC looked very good, but the Warhawks have nothing to be ashamed of.

A great football game today in Salem!  We could not ask for two better teams to represent the excellence of Division III football.

Congratulations to the War Hawks on a great season and a great effort in today's game!

Congratulations to Coach Bob and the entire Wisconsin-Whitewater team.  You guys are a class act.

It looked to me like Whitewater played tough as nails today and MUC just kicked it up a notch somehow.

Those two great seasons will feel much better in a decade.

Congratulations on the season effort.

Congratulations on a fantastic season!  Hope to see you again in 2007.

Well I intentionally waited until well after the game to post my thoughts.  I wanted to wait until the all of my emotions >:( :( :o ??? :-X :-\ :'( had settled down enough to allow me to post a fair and real take on the game.

First of all I'm really dissapointed for Coach B and the entire team that they weren't able to realize their dream and win this one last game to bring the trophy home to UWW and back to the West.  They played their hearts out all season long but fell just a little short in Salem against a great Mount Union team.  Congrats on an outstanding season and their two year run to excellence.  Everybody associated with the team is to be truly commended.  I wish Coach B and all of the graduating seniors nothing but the best as they get ready for the rest of their lives.  With that being said.....WOW, not to take anything away from the Warhawks, but Mount Union deserves all the credit in the world.  They are truly a great team, with a great coaching staff that deserved to win yesterday.  They had an excellent game plan formulated and ran it to near perfection.  Their ability to run off of many different offensive sets is amazing.  It is no wonder that they are the perenial National Champs that they are.  Whitewater didn't play as poorly as much as Mount Union played well.  Congrats to the Raiders.

We had just too many missed opportunities in this game.  Much of that was due to the defensive play of MU, but I fairly sure that if you ask the Warhawk players,  they will all tell you that they should have been able to put it into the endzone a couple of more times through the course of the game.  Our inability to contain Garcon was obviously a major factor in the outcome of this game, but in my opinion the game changer was the blocked punt for the touchdown.  The Warhawk defense was doing a more than adequate job of keeping MU's offense in fairly good check, but after the blocked punt, it really kind of seemed to take a little bit of air out of our sails.  HUGE PLAY there.

Again, congrats to the Raiders on yet another championship year and good luck Coach B.  You will be sorely missed.  8)
You can't have everything.....Where would you put it?

I wish the game could have turned out different for Whitewater, it would have been nice to see the National Title back in the toughest conference in the Nation.

Observations, well not that is matters much now, but the UWW offensive coaching staff really let the fans down and failed again in their play calling, the UWW Defensive backs coach and cordinator allowed MUC to use their main wepon instead of forcing them to use other options where as the Defensive staff at MUC eliminated the outside running option for Beaver and kept Stanley run after the catch limited.  UWW should have used the TE more often, he was open.

I'm not trying to pile on here because I'm a UWL alum, but if and when you get another shot at the title UWW learn from this game please.   Personaly I'm sick of seeing MUC make Salem their second home.

Mt. Union proved to be head and shoulders above the rest and it goes to show that Whitewater is just an average football team.  I knew Union would win, just didn't know it would be in such dominating form  ;D Sorry to all WW fans who thought you had a chance:)

You guys seem to be farely educated but when it comes to predictions, you guys must of missed that class.  UW STOUT will win the conference @ 7-0 hands down

SO, thewayitis how about those bluedevils?  If WW is just an average team what does that make Stout a pop warner team?
