Mt. Union proved to be head and shoulders above the rest and it goes to show that Whitewater is just an average football team.  I knew Union would win, just didn't know it would be in such dominating form  ;D Sorry to all WW fans who thought you had a chance:)

I will normally ignore stupid posts like this but I'll make an exception today.  Go crawl back under the rock you've been living under.  A team whose only two losses that past two years are in the National Championship Game against the perennial national champs and you call them AVERAGE ???  That's just briliant ::)
You can't have everything.....Where would you put it?

Congrats on another great season U-Dub-Dub! You have nothing to hang your head about.

Thanks to everyone that stopped by Stone Station yesterday. You have an awesone fan base! Hopefully all the food and hospitality lived up to everyone's expectations.

A special shout goes out to the UWW girls who helped us down the multiple bottles of Boone's farm, that was one cool "Circle of Champions!"  ;D

Congrats to UWW on a great season--and a great effort in the Stagg--I echo other's comments that a team with two losses in two years is far from average.  Congratulations are due to all.  Good luck in the off season and maybe we will see each other next post season.

Have a great retirement Coach B--you have done amazing things with your program
Reloading--Again, and again, and again....

I will also give WW congrats on two great seasons.  One question.....who is the heir apparent to Jacobs?  To be honest, I thought he was WW's achilles heel in both Stagg Bowls.  He seemed to get happy feet, and constantly try to make a big play instead of taking what the Mount D was offering (which wasn't much).

Congrats again, you just happened to run into "The Mount".   ;D

The backup QB's at UWW are Brian Ryczkowski and Jeff Donovan (cousin of UW QB Tyler Donovan)

Just back from Salem and we had a great time......except for the outcome of the game. 2 consecutive years down there and never played well but I guess Mount Union had a lot to do with that.....Cudos to Mount Union their team is exceptional and their coach is a real class act.....their fans are somewaht a cocky bunch but who wouldn't be with their record. People from Bridgewater at Stone Station were great......especially Olinemom who partied with us at the Marriott.....Great Brownies! Tailgate before the game was simply outstanding.....Congrats to all the Warhawks who made the All-American team. Next year the Goo Crew will be out there cheering for you guys as you try for three trips to Salem in a row......could be a lot more relaxing without having a player on the team.....POUND THE ROCK!!!....

Congrats to the Warhawk nation on another outstanding season and best wishes to coach B on his retirement. What a classy man and program. He has left UWW in great shape and knocking on the door. Sometimes, that has to be done a few times to get it open.

As a Mount fan, at the game, I really enjoyed the spectacle of the D3 Football Championship. Nothing in sports for me matches this, it is truely student athletes completing with passion and class.

Hopefully we will get the oportunity to battle with the Warhawks in Salem the future.

Happy Holidays to all.

I don't know.  I've been to three UWL games against Mount Union.  Their fans never seemed as cocky to me as all those arrogant St. Johns fans.

So why aren't the U of W system football schools (other than Madison) Division 1AA or at a minimum D2?

Being a public university seems to be the exception in D3 (at least in the North and West Regions).

In recent years 3 WIAC teams have gone to consecutive championships in BB and FB: UWPin BB; UWSP in BB; and, UWW in Football. All great teams but , unfortunately UWW was the only one to lose. You guys have to remember the ride, it is still good. Youmhave a greaty challenge to make it 3 in a row. Good luck and God Bless you Guys.

It works out fine being D3 in WI. I do not feel the taxpayers want to pay for Scholarships or the additional costs. Also, though our attendance is good for D3,I do not think we can jack it up enough to support the cost. God Bless!

25% of Division III is public. Hardly an exception.

Does it matter? D-III is D-III is D-III -- just because you're not a fan of the WIAC doesn't change the facts. Public schools are part of Division III and not an exception.

Calm down Mr. Moderator.  I just asked a question.  To me it seems odd that while most public universities in the west and north regions play something other than D3 football, in  Wisconsin they don't. Whether you choose to agree or not, the Wisconsin University system is an exception in these parts of the country.  I simply asked why.
