Now, don't go misinterpreting what I said.  I would never say that there aren't a few DIII guys who could play in the league.  But it's not nearly common enough, in my opinion, to warrant a "Pro Day".  So you have one or two kids that may have an outside chance--send them to a pro day at UW-Madison where there'll be more guys and more scouts.

Think about it Duffman, the way you write, anything you say has a chance to be misinterpreted, that's the beauty of your comments!!  You're always able to flip flop depending on which direction the wind is blowing.

I don't think Mount Union even has a Pro Day.  If any players are worth a look, they get invited to OSU, Akron or Kent.

Obviously, MUC is not as good as the vaunted Warhawks.

and if you knew anything about anything you would know that a kid who doesnt compete from UW madison can not participate in that pro day.

Where'd you get that info?  I know of MIAC players who have been allowed to participate in U of M and NDSU Pro Days.

The obvious response to that would be that the U of M has very few, if any pro prospects, unlike UW.  If the Gophers didn't allow outside players to attend, they would have to re-name it from "Pro Day" to "Pro Minutes."

WW has a pro day?  Doesn't that seem a bit arrogant?  I can't imagine much coming out of it.

Not overly. You'd be surprised how many schools do, Duff.

So, at UWW they'd call it Pro Nanoseconds?

Okay, I guess I stand corrected, then.  We must just not have the quality of players in the MIAC or OAC that the rest of the country does.

I still think it's arrogant (no flip-flopping there, BoBo).

How does arrogance even play a part of it when NFL scouts ask for it.  If your beloved johnnies had some guys chasin the dream this year you don't think you would host a pro day in johnnyland?  Geez you are negative!!

CaptainKurt

Duff just seems a little bitter that St. John's hasn't been able to get past the juggernaut that Whitewater has become over the past few years.   ;D

When you become a force to be reckon with, a few haters are bound to pop up.  No worries though.

SJU has had a few players working out for pro scouts over the past few years, but SJU hasn't had a pro day.  Those SJU players head up to Fargo for the NDSU pro day or over to SCSU who had a pro day last year, I think.  UMN has gone both ways recently, I believe, about letting outsiders into their pro day (stupid Mason flip flopping).  But don't forget that the MIAC actually had someone drafted not too long ago (albeit Mr. Irrelevant...).

I'm not taking sides as to the arrogance aspect.  If UWW wants to put their financial resources into a pro day for graduating seniors, go right ahead.  We'll just stick to having our scoring drives sponsored by Redenbacher popcorn.

Yup, real juggernaut  :D.

Look dude, there's no need to be a jag about this.  Scouts requested it, and WW has the resources to sponsor a pro-day.  So they do it.  End of story.  I tried to be practical in my previous post, but you just had to be a prick about it, didn't you?
