Actually, Trey was waived by the Rush. He was however resigned to the practice squad the same day. The best I can tell, the practice squad only has one player on it, which is Trey. They must think he is worth keeping to do that.
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

Well, somebody's bound to get hurt.  Here's hoping he gets his chance one way or another.

Opps, I was unaware of that developement and the story doesn't mention it.  Can't seem to get anything straight lately.  :(

Not only is Trey Bell on the Chicago Rush roster, but Jeremy Unertl from UWL, is too.

Chicago is the defending Arena Football League Champions.

Good luck to each of these guys!

I am so proud of Trey right now, he was truly one of the best all around athletes I've ever seen.

I am also glad to see the butcher get his shot too. I know first hand how incredible of a quarterback he was.

It looks like Drake will play both Platteville and La Crosse this year...not sure about venues.

Any UWP fans reading this?  I think your man Tom Davis is about to retire again.  He lead Drake basketball to its first winning season in 20 years.

I think you are almost right on about your comments on the Pioneer Football League Fan Board regarding La Crosse (just one edit!):

Theoretically, Drake could have played Prairie View on Sept 22, taking a paycheck and netting about $1.99 after travel.

Instead, they get what is probably a tougher game--at home (?) --against La Crosse. I'm not big on D-III scheduling, but I like UWL. They always schedule up, and they beat South Dakota State last year.

The Chicago Rush is also the home of QB Matt D'Orazio from Otterbein College:

Trey Bell was cut by the Chicago Rush earlier this week.  What now for Trey?  Here is a link to the Chicago Rush roster as of today.

It seams like that Chicago Rush roster changes more often than the wind changes direction!

Trey Bell was the best DB I ever saw play in the WIAC.He was the best player on the field when WW played PV. I especially remember how he took out our leading receiver out of the game , in Platteville, about 2 years ago.  Despite his great play, my Pioneers won 7-6. He blew out his knee in the All star game, do not remember if it was the Hula Bowl or East West game. If he would have stayed healthy, he would have been in the NFL. God Bless!

Trey actually ruptured his achilles tendon while training for his pro day.  He was slotted as a 4th-5th round draft pick before the injury.
