The word is that recruiting has been going very well.  It's a huge class with over 50 committments received to date.  I don't know that all of those will show up but we've gotten a very high percentage of the athletes we targeted and those we lost won't be playing in the WIAC.   

The search is underway for an offensive coordinator.  There have been a significant number of applicants which include coaches from every level including D1.   It isn't quite as simple as it might seem because the position involves teaching and supervising student teachers in addition to the coaching duties.   

A recent impromptu meeting of the booster club was well attended and very supportive of the new staff.   Come on now Zorro, it's time to let it go and get on board.    We missed you and we're all WARHAWK guys.

Great article on Jimmy and well deserved.  Jimmy is and was a great football player.  His stats and success show that.  The best thing about Jimmy is that he is the best captain on the best team to ever play at UWW.  He was a true players captain.  I played 4 years with Jimmy and it was a honor.

Jesse Wendt signed a free agent contract with the Washington Redskins.  Is this the first time we have ever had 2 WIAC football players sign in the same year?

WOW!!   A huge congratulations to Derek, Michal Allen and Jesse Wendt!  It is a great day to be from the WIAC family and an even better day to be a WARHAWK!  Fingers crossed that Pete's phone is ringing right about now!!!!
