Hey BW I didn't make the saying up. Not to mention it makes more sense the way it is.
Either way I like Mt. Union's mentality that unless they win it all they have nothing to celebrate.
Gotta beat the best to be the best otherwise your just one of the rest

Let's hope it happens as somethign like this will bring all the hawks back to UW-W

On a more positive note. Way to go Pete Schmitt on signing a contract with the Washington Redskins. Word is that he had a great camp and was signed yesterday at the conclusion of the tryouts. Simply awesome #84!!!!....Two Warhawks that will be participating in summer camps to make NFL rosters.....way to go #84 and #2......

Badgerwarhawk,

I have to agree with BDB on the subject of reputation. I don't believe there is any correlation to the problems with the students at Stout and the rest of the WIAC. I would assume with the new coaching staff that these issues are going to go away very quickly. The problem is there are still some lingering from the past.

In regards to the past I also have a hard time blaming the previous coach for the antics that went on with a few players/ex-players while he was still the coach. I don't have all the facts but I never read where any of this affected the teams performance on the field.
WELCOME TO THE MACHINE!

Have to agree with 96 that the Warhawk schedule leaves a lot to be desired. It is difficult and there is only one game in September and that is not until the fourth week of the season. No tailgating at the Perk until the 22nd.....no fun in that......

I was thinking the same thing, no tailgating at the Perk until the 22nd!!! Bummer!!  Also, don't like the fact that the starters will go into St Cloud State on the 15th with possibly only a couple of quarters under their belts.  Will have only had one game with a cupcake.

Really, because I find it kind of arrogant. (sorry, Raiderguy!)  Following their logic, every other program and football player in D-3 have nothing to celebrate like having winning seasons, Conference Championships, Regional Championships, being a National Championship Runner-up and individual accomplishments like All-American, All Conference, etc.  But when you have a record like MUC, I guess the bar gets raised so high that nothing less than the Walnut and Bronze is a season filled with failure.  Kind of sad in a way but hard to argue with that kind of success, I suppose.

So the way things are shaking out with WW's schedule and all the coaching changes who is the most likely challenger in the WIAC in 07?

ihavesomething2say

I think the two main challengers will be Stevens Point and La Crosse

Thought this was interesting...
I just heard on ESPN's Outside The Lines that it will now take the last person on the list to get season tickets for the Packers 473 years.

Sakman 1111

That's good because it would probably take me that long to want Packer tickets.    Go Bears!.....

Congrats to Pete Schmidt for signing with the Washington Redskins.   Also congrats to Ryan Englebert as it sounds like he had a great mini camp in Cincinnati, as they list him as a definite candidate to be invited back for OTA practices in early June.  Did anyone hear how Jesse Wendt did in Washington?  I can't find anything about him.

DIII Fanatic

If I'm right, OTA's are training sessions with the team as well as several practices a week.  The team will typically install much of the playbook in these sessions leading up to the mini camps which are held in June.  Idk why the Bengals would have OTA's starting that late in June.

To attend OTA's players will typically be on the roster.  Did Englebert sign a contract with the Bengals or did they say he has a chance of maybe coming back??...I also haven't heard if Wendt was coming back

It doesn't say if he signed a contract or not, just stated that he was very impressive during the mini camp and Coach Anderson (running backs coach) is going to want to take a closer look at him before training camp.  There was a blog from one of the mini camp practices that stated he proved to be very elusive and picked up on the offense extremely quick.

Where is GOO62??  This must mean Childs should have been drafted, and Beaver and Pitz will be early draft picks??
