If Danny Jones intends to transfer to UWW he is going to have to enroll in school pretty soon.
I don't have any inside information, but this sure sound totally rumor at this point.

Such a bold comment.  Dont mistake love for respect.  Beaver is the best football player I have ever played with.  I guarantee that Beaver will get NFL looks and just by you saying that he wont leaves me to believe that mentally you are not stable.
If your trying to hurt my feelings by saying I couldnt play in the NFL your going at it the wrong way.  As everyone knows me by name on this board, Max Sakellaris, if you dont.  They also know that I was a pretty good D3 football player which is fine by me. As for you Im guessing maybe your playing days ended with a injury that you are still crying about when you go to bed but of course that is if you even played football.  Maybe your so fat that you cant even see your feet but that is just another guess.  One day you will probably grow up and not hide behind your screen name and tell us who you really are.  Until then Im guessing you played coed intramural volleyball all through college.

I got two words for you, Voice.   SMOKE....................FIRE!!   ;)  IMHO, way too much smoke here.

Another quote from the SCIAC board by a first time poster:

"Well I happen to be lucky enough to know the Kid (Danny Jones) and I can assure you that the last thing on his mind is himself. If anything I would say that the choice he made was anything but. Look at it from a player prospective. 1. Your coach leaves you team high and dry right before spring ball. 2. CLU took their sweet time in finding a new head coach to fill the shoes. The team as a whole was hurt from this. I do know that the work ethic of this kid is one that any coach would love to have. His dedication to the team was never a question and I think we all witnessed this in the pass seasons where the team comradery was bar none above and beyond. I think with the coaching problem at hand that the players dedication to the team fell short and for a kids that dedicate so much time and effort to the sport felt that in some areas the team and coaching dedication was not in return. I heard rumors that they were having troubles getting a full roster to spring ball and kids were not showing up. I don't think that any of these kids should fall victim to being called selfish given the situation if anything I would praise them for their dedication to the sport and drive to play at higher levels. Danny made a choice to play for a team that has the comradery that CLU had last year and will face many challenges in his next season I can do nothing but wish the kid well and  I wish the same for CLU in rekindling that fire needed make it to the playoffs.          Putting things in perspective..... I am with 413 on this one the new graphics for the Warhawk website are awesome....As for 99 ....if Danny Jones winds up at Whitewater he will have to earn his spot just like any other player who transferred there. This is college football the best people play and the fact that you have been on the team for 3 years means only you get two free tickets a game for your parents. Widuch, Borzich, and the rest were only offered a chance to play and they made the most of it and if they didn't perform they wouldn't have played.......

In the WIAC there's a rule where if you play for 2 years on a team and transfer within the conference you have to sit out a year.  There should be a rule in all of DIII that if you are at a school for 2 years or more you have to sit out a year before you are eligible.  I think its dumb that kids can transfer without having to sit out.

I don't think it's dumb. Remember these kids are not on scholarship and in most places would be on the hook for an extra $40,000 or so if D-III schools voted that nationwide.

It's not like sitting out a year of public tuition.

... As for you ...

Almost nothing good comes after those three words. Why is this necessary?

Anyone shed light on the percentage increase of tuition to a Wisconsin state school for someone from out of state?
It is a hot issue in California now because there IS an increase for someone from out of state but not for an undocumented guest worker illegal alien type persons.

Google is good at this sort of thing.

The only thing that chart doesn't include is reciprocity tuitions with Minnesota and others.

I believe there is reciprocity with Illinois residents now also at some lower tuition rate.......a few years to late for us .....darn $$$$$.....

How about Ask Jeeves?  ;)

Resident $4,477-4,605

Non $11,461-11,589

Sak,

I believe the only UW school that has a discount for Illinois is Platteville.  It is called the TSI (Tri-State Initiative).  IL students end up paying approx $4000 more per year than WI residents.  :-\  That is still $4000 less than the out of state amount.   :)

There is a general reciprocity agreement for all UW schools with the likes of MN, IA, SD?   but IL is not included in that.
