I know you guys are having fun with Mr. D3-NCAA but to be fair, shouldn't someone point out to him the fact that most programs and coaching staffs frown very seriously on active players participating in the banter on these boards and threatening to clothes line one of our WR's is really not in his own best interest?  Well, I guess I just did.  LOL!!   ;D

BTW, D3-NCAA, you are not as anonymous as you might think you are.   ;)

ok, i realize talking bout clothelining a guy around his throat isn't very sportsmanlike...but i look at like,,,its a rough game, what happens on the field stays on the field...anything prior or after-the-fact  is the part where you gotta show the utmost respect for the game and those you play against

Interesting how you are trying to justify purposely clothes lining a guy with a forearm to the throat while talking about respect for the game in the same paragraph.  Something doesn't sound right about that.  Trying to clothes line a guy across the throat as opposed to just knocking him out with a great hit is not "respect for the game and those you play against" in my opinion.

I agree with Sakman on his comment about you covering receivers.  Based on the way you guys got lit up in the secondary last year, I believe that would be a better strategy for you going into the fall, especially since your identity has been called out by you posting on this board.  Oops.....

Lakeland obviously wasn't at our level but unlike one of our league opponents, who only went through the motions in the second half, they never quit.
Badger  - which opponent quit in the 2nd half?

I agree with Max respect is earned not given. Whitewater should respect Mount Union because they have played them four times, and have gotten whooped four times. Yes the 2005 Stagg bowl was close but it was out of hand and then got close late.
This year Mount Union pounded the rock on defense and put a nce dent into the warhawk offense. Not to mention no one and I repeat no one could cover Garcone, and he made whitewaters secodnary his whipping boy.
However like I said the repsect for Mount Union is due to the results on the field.
I do not believe in moral victories or bragging about finishing second.Second place is the first loser. No matter what you call it runner up, or whatever.
Lakeland is just another want abe WIAC team in d3 football in the state of wisconsin calling the WIAC tam,s d2 teams. hey man they are d3 just like everyone else int he state except the badgers. The kids play the game for the love of the game, and maybe a couple will get lucky like Stanley and get drafted.
D3-NCAA  just realize that players at UWW read this and they will read how youw ant to so sportsmanlike clotehsline ne of their wide outs. However unlike last year you will have to keep them in front of you,as Stanley made you guys looks as bad as Garcone made the Warhawks look.
My prediction Warhawks 80

UWW fans,

Lets knock off the prediction game. You might remember, Lakeland was tied with UWW 28-all at the half in a game at Whitewater in 2004.  Sure UWW went on to dominate the second half but the game was much closer than the 48-28 final score.  Ask the coaching staff, they'll tell you.  Warhawk fans are beginning to act like UW-Platteville basketball fans a few years ago.  Enjoy the ride, but quit being so cocky because some day it will bite you in the butt.  Its all about respect!

What a ridiculous conversationg.. D3-NCAA, wow!! I was at the Whitewater/Lakeland game last year and i too failed to see you clothesline D-Stan...  I know this is rare but I actually agree w/ Goo62 on this one.. But then again who wouldn't..  Speaking of which Goo62 didn't you pancake all 11 defenders on one play against Lakeland??  Man, hopefully too many current WW players don't read these posts, because their starters might run it up to 75-0 in the first quarter this year before they get pulled..

Congratulations to Coach Jim Zebrowski and UW-Whitewater.  I wish you guys much success (unless you're playing the Purple Raiders).  ;D

Voice,
Ah yes the infamous 2004 lakeland game where before the game running back coach Chad Wuth direct quote in the lockerroom was"There is a reason they go to lakeland. They can't play at Whitewater"
I agree with voice the prediction stuff should be cut out. However what fun would that be in all fairness it is a game Whitewater should easily, easily dominate.
I mean it's not like they are playing Mount Union or anything.

That's awesome poetry, razor.  However, using that as a guide, Whitewater would share space with the rest (including Lakeland) since only MU would be the best.

Pretty pumped about the week 8 match up in Whitewater with the Cru. I'm just happy Kleppe isn't playing for the warhawks again. He was the most dominate DT i have seen. Its going to get pretty exciting.

Moving on, I want to officially give a hearty and sincere welcome to the Warhawks new offensive coordinator, Coach Zebrowski.  He has some mighty big shoes to fill but that could be said for every open position (player or coach,) for the Hawks after the success the program has enjoyed the last few years. With his addition, this might be one of the finest coaching staffs in D-3, IMHO.   With a rock solid defense and great vets and new talent waiting for their turn to prove themselves on the O side, I am very excited to see what the Hawk's new offensive face looks like on the field.  Good luck to all this season!!

I am just happy that we get to welcome the Cru to the Perk this year.  That was a brutal road trip for the Hawks.  They were on a bus at 5:00 AM, I believe, the day before and didn't get into their hotel rooms until 11:00 that night.  Then the game the next day in the heat and in, what has to be, the loudest stadium in D-3. (are those noise makers allowed in conference games? LOL!)    My only regret is that the game is in October.  I hear some of your boys have never seen snow!   ;D ;D ;D
