Any recent news on Stanley, Schmidt or Englebert?? Does anyone know where the WW boys stand on the depth charts heading into training camp.  Also does anyone know if Englebert is going to Bengals camp, since he has spent a lot of the summer in Cincinnati?? After speaking with one of Stout's former coaches he said Englebert has had a few opportunities to play in Canada however was waiting out the possibility of being invited to training camp with the Bengals.  I saw Stouts "other prospect" out and about enjoying the social life quite a bit the past few days up north.  I'm assuming at the age of 27 or 28 he had thrown in the towel??  happy 4th to everyone.. Also wanted to say good luck to my man Kleppe and the other WIAC players playing in Japan

I just got back from San Jose where I watched several practices of Team USA that is now in Japan getting ready for it's opener in the World Championship of American Football.  With only a 45 man roster and a couple of players nursing injuries, practices were scaled down quite a bit.  Kleppe has been his usual self at nose tackle mixing things up inside.  He told me over the weekend that it has been a challenge playing against good players from higher divisions in the NCAA.  The first practice I watched, the other nose tackle was held out do to a minor injury and Kleppe played every snap.  Cody Childs also impressed me. He has been playing fullback and they have him doing a number of things other than just running and blocking.  As far as Teeples was concerned, it was hard to get a real reading on the defensive backs simply because things were not being done at full speed.  The one thing that all three WIACers told me was that it is a really special feeling knowing that they are the first college all-star football team that will be playing for a world championship and it is a big deal for the team - especially leaving San Francisco for Kawasaki, Japan on the 4th of July.

USA plays Korea on July 10th and Germany on July 12th.  If the USA advances to the championship game as expected they will play on July 15th in a game that will be telecast on the NFL Network.

Here is the Rams current depth chart http://www.stlouisrams.com/team/depthcharts/.  Stanley had been the 4th receiver listed on third team, but I see now he is the 3rd receiver listed on the third team.  Don't know what significance, if any, that might have.  The Redskins site says they don't release a depth chart until the first preseason game.

In case anybody is keeping score, the 3rd IFAF World Championships have begun in Japan.  Japan took care of France soundly 48-0 and Germany easily handled South Korea 32-2.  You can read more for yourself at http://wc2007.info/index_e.html

Check out the video gallery for game highlights & the postgame press conference.

The USA team takes on the same South Koreans on July 10 (Japan time)

Just like anything else, I bet the French were waiting for Americans to come make victory happen for them. ;D

I am posting to say congrats to the WIAC boys playing over in that other continent.  Heard they are representing well.  Good luck Teeples and Childs and hope to see you guys on channel 168.  Saint Kleppe you are the man, don't give them to many spin moves over there.  And here is a little advice forget about the chop sticks just use your hands.

Are there live updates of the USA vs. Korea game anywhere on the net?

I've been searching for anything, but without any success.  I have some friends at the game, but haven't been able to reach them yet.  Here in Korea, the Korean media has no interest in these games.  I called the Korea Herald and the Korea Times, the two largest english language newspapers in Korea and their response was totally confused.  They have no idea the game is being played.  Usually against the US in anything would have drawn considerable interest.  But, the "other" football is king here.

This is the best I could find, but it doesn't look like they have live, in-game, updates since the game started at 6:10am EDT today and no updates yet.
