Not trying to start an ugly rumor of some supposed injury, I'm just speculating has to why they wouldn't be listed on the 2-deep.  I couldn't think of any other reason.

Goal Line Stand

I wouldn't panic.  I don't see the Sam LB  position even listed.  Looks like an oversight to me and it is Lakeland afterall.   No need to push if a starter is even a little banged up.

Scroll to the left...Luke Wilson is listed as the starter at SAM

I agree, the Hawks should be able to get by Lakeland without the starters and then have an additional two weeks rest before St Cloud

Also noticed that Trevor Hunt is not on the roster...he did an admirable job filling in for Travis Reuland last year at FB

Trivia question of the day -
Which team has the fourth longest current winning streak in D3?

Mount Union is at 23, Williams is at 14, and Trinity is at 6. There are six others at 4, including UW-Stevens Point. The Pointers make a long trip south this weekend, to play Webber International University, an NAIA school in Lake Wales, Fla....

Lost in the shuffle of the UW-Whitewater and UWL quarterback contests is the battle to replace Brett Borchart, who took most of the snaps at QB for the Pointers the last three years...

Senior Nick Venden, Borchart's backup, and Jake Swank, a redshirt freshman transfer from Purdue University, are the leading candidates...

La Crosse's #1 is junior Griffin Moe.  He edged sophomore Gus Almonroeder in a preseason camp competition.

WIAC football starts in just one day with the first game.  I'm officially going to volunteer to keep track of Pickems this year.  Somebody has to do it so why not me.

I'm assuming we will be posting in the Pickem's forum that was created last season, no need to clutter up the general discussion area.

For all you early birds, EC plays tomorrow and Stout on Friday.  Get those picks in, otherwise all the other games are on Saturday as normal.  I'll post the schedule in the Pickem's board.

Anybody know about Stanley?  10 WR's still listed on Rams web site roster that was updated as of yesterday (unofficial,) so it doesn't seem to reflect a cut down to 6 but he is listed on the depth chart on the 3rd team with 2 other WR's.  It  Have they announced a final roster yet?

WR2   80 Isaac Bruce   83 Drew Bennett            89 Dane Looker
                                                                  19 Derek Stanley
                                                                    9 Fred Gibson

I believe teams have until Saturday 3pm to cut their roster to 53 players.   Most here have felt his competition for a roster spot was Marques Hagens.

Unfortunately Pete Schmitt's shot at playing in the NFL took a hit as he was one of four players released by Washington.   I think the writing was probably on the wall when they signed Fred Beasley last week.  It didn't help that he injured his shoulder either.

Sorry, Pete.   Good luck and thanks again for the four years.   I've seen many WW teams over the years but last year's may have been the best ever.

A telling fact is that Hagens has moved up to #2 PR and KR behind Hall plus first of the the 3rd team WR1.  From reading everything out of St. Louis this summer, I understood things to say that Hagens, Stanley and Thompson were in the running for the 6th WR position.  My belief is this is setting things up for Hagens to be the 6th WR leaving Stanley out after the next cut-down. Possibly working in his advantage is that he is still listed among the 3 KR'ers, but I don't think that will be enough. Hope I'm wrong, but it doesn't look good from my view.  But, as one of the final cuts, he may still get a shot at the practice squad.  Seems like they like him a lot, his attitude and his work ethic.  But forecasting these things is next to impossible.
