Duffman, et al--thanks for the heads up on expected crowd. I'm thinking the parking situation will be less than adequate. Also, our facility, actually only a glorified high school (not even glorified) setting, will be the least you encounter in away games. However, the field surface will be superb, courtesy KC Chiefs.

The good news: we are kicking off a fund raising project Saturday which will considerably upgrade Ramer Field, to the tune of about 3 million bucks. All we need are donors! Right now, only UW-Stevens Point has a football facility to "equal" ours, and I have not seen theirs for several years so it may be improved there.

Do tour our campus if you have time. We have a new "green" Student Center within easy walking distance of the field. It makes quite a "wow" first impression.

WW against SCS will give a good indication into how good this years team is.  If the 05 and 06 teams had played SCS I beleive they would have won convincenly, so a win would bode well for the season outlook.

DuffMan

Don't worry, the smack talk will start when the time is right. ;)

The UWW/SCSU game will be an interesting one.  SCSU has been up and down in recent years.  I expect a pretty good game and I think I will try to make it over there after the Johnnie game.  I don't know much about their team this year, but I would be willing to bet the Warhawks would have beaten them last year.  This year, who knows.  Should be close.

When does this weeks new top 25 rankings come out... or have they already.  Interested to see how far back Hardin-Simmons falls and see if La Crosse jumps ahead of some teams

Johnnie Red

fredfalcon, the Stiftungsfestivities will be making the trip to River Falls on Saturday morning. Let me know where we should set up the tailgate party. If you could provide me with directions on how to get to the stadium, that would be appreciated. Thanks.

fredfalcon

Johnny Red--just got off the phone with Rick Bowen, Falcon A.D. I asked him what would be a good location for the Stiftungsfestivities tailgate operation. He said if you were going to SELL concessions, he would not allow it-- competition for the local effort. But I don't think your operation is a money raiser--more a social with contriibutions appreciated. Is that correct? At any rate, he said you should contact him. That may not be necessary if your operation is really just a tailgate party. If that's the case, I will get back to him and assure him that you are not "competing."

Directions to Ramer Field: After crossing the I94 bridge over the St. Croix at Hudson, travel about three miles to exit three on the  right (see UW-RF sign). About nine miles southeast on Hy. 35, look for the RF exit. That route will take you thru Main Street. Look for Johnnies Bar on your left in the second block of Main--a natural stopping place for all Johnnie fans, for sure! They've been prepped--who knows what bargains might be available to Johnnie fans? Continue thru Main St. to Cascade Ave. (dorm in front of you, Dairy Queen on right), veer slightly right, continuing on South Main, travel about 5 blocks to stop light. One block past the light, on your left, is Ramer Field.

If, for some unexplainable reason, you want to avoid Main St., don't take the RF exit, but continue on Hy 35 for two more miles to a stop light (car dealer on right). Turn right there and drive about 2 miles west on Cascade Ave. to next stop light (Main and Cascade--Dairy Queen, dorm again). Take South Main left and proceed as above.

No selling, just a bunch of fans getting together to celebrate the game and talk a bunch of BS.

Duffman last year we visited Coach's Sports Bar on Main Street before the UWW/River Falls game and it was a nice place with some good food. Parking lot more than adequate for tailgating ......it's not the Perk or St.Johns but it will serve your purpose. Hey, Fred Falcon see you at the Perk....by that time Z Jr. should have 70 catches.....
