Just a quick diversion from todays grind to a different kind of (bump) and grind.  Here's another example why the NFL stands for the No Fun League:

Bobo, What do you expect the league to do when an organization specifically instructs their cheerleaders to do things that attempt to distract the opposing team's players.

I can see it now.  Coach A frantically attempts to relay pregame instructions to his players while the cheerleaders prance about and the players shout, "show us your boobs."   No one will ever get anything straight that way. :D

I understand every team is looking for what ever edge they can get but this one is just stupid and when they come up with stupid ideas like this the league has to come up with stupid solutions to even the playing field.

Look at it this way Hurricane.

LAX's only negative is its crappy stadium.  But in two years, we will have a brand new one.

Our school is better.  Our town is better.  Our bars are better.  Our girls are cuter.   Where do you think the talent will go?

Meanwhile, Swifel will start/continue using his contacts to pick guys out of your backyard.

Stick with your coach with the porn star name and you'll be fighting Stout for 3rd place.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that UW LC will man up and defeat the Warhawks 24 - 21.

I didn't know that if UWW got more votes this week in the poll that they had to come from St John's. Is that some rule that I haven't heard about? Pat? Pat?

You'll never believe this, but I actually was involved in a similar problem over high school basketball years and years ago.

In the conference that I coached, there was a team that would take their cheerleaders and pom-pom squad and line them up around the border of the half court where the other team was warming up.  The head coach would instruct the cheer/poms to perform 2-3 feet inside the sideline, therfore squeezing the space that the visiting team had to warm-up.

It finally came to a head in a tournament game, when a visiting player shooting a lay-up bowled over a cheerleader.  The cheerleader's father called the police and wanted the player arrested before the game.  Cooler heads prevailed (ie, the cops told the dad to sit down and shut up.)  Videotape later showed the cheerleader was dancing four feet inside the sideline and directly under the backboard.

They didn't have to but the schools are neck and neck on a lot of ballots. Hard for one to move without affecting the other.

As a firt timer at Perkins I have the following comments:

WW is very good!  Impressive on D.

The stadium is very nice.

Scoreboard is really nice, but too far away, or should have put it where the old one is.

The fans (student section) with the "You F----- UP" chant is POOR!  Not sure if I would like my young kids sitting there during the game.   It sounds like UW Badger  "wanna be" student section...

The University of St. Thomas is located in St. Paul, blocks from the Drinking District and has more promiscuous women than a free clinic and they can't win a football game to save their lives.

Big test on sat. for WW, we'll see if LAX can hold Beaver under 200. (has never even come close to happening)  Also will LAX be able to stay in the game throwing the ball? (assuming the run won't work for them because it hasn't at all in the past 3 meetings)  Game will be decided on LAX's ability to throw the ball however, i believe the hawks will control the game on the ground and beaver will top 1000 yards against LAX in his career. Hopefuly closer than last seasons regular season contest.

Sadly, I think this has been raised before. :(

Keys to UWW vs Lax game

Lax must be able to throw the ball cause the will not be able to run on UWW stellar D.  Offensively UWW will have to get Beaver going early and limit TO's which they will do.  I expect a low scoring game something like 20 to 10, of course the Hawks on top.
I dont disagree with the Top 25 mabye Lax in front of St Johns and Central might be a little high but other than that nice job.

You have more people that put their dead mother in freezers to continue collecting their social security checks than we do too.

Would you rather be named after a porn star or a fish?  ;)

Not that it matters and I doubt you care but Swifel is actually spelled Zwiefel.

Are there a lot of kids choosing between UW-Whitewater and Beloit Memorial High School? Seems odd.

I think it will go to the program that ended their season playing on ESPN the last two years.   Well, except for the ones that put the quality of the bar scene above football and you can have those guys!   ;) ;D

Have you seen UWW's admission standards?  It's pretty close!   ;) ;)
