Closed circuit to Stoutguy: Jake just called. You left your wifes cell phone at the Ale House.  :D

Whoops!  :D

False alarm.  It wasn't my wife's.   It was someone elses.  Wait a minute.  That doesn't sound so good either now that I think of it.

It's a wonder that with "the best LB core in the country" the best running back ever in the WIAC, the best "O" line in D III, and one of the best QB's ever to put on shoulder pads, that UWW ever loses a game, even to a D II opponent. Riddle me that Batman.

 retagent,

You must be from Minnesota to be such a wise-ass!

I know it.  It is such a mystery, isn't it?  But even great teams can have a bad day once in awhile.  You, know, that, "any given Saturday thing."   ;) ;) :D ;D

Just Bill:

I agree with you.  Webber, Wesleyan and Waldorf arent anything for the Pointers to brag about.  Everyone in the conference probably would have beet them.  But looking at the Pointers schedule, it looks good for them.  They are 3-0 and their next 3 games are River Falls, Platteville and Stout.  Could they be 6-0 with some momentum heading into a home game with Whitewater. Its possible but it wouldnt matter because I dont see them ever beating Whitewater.  Not a chance

Just Bill

I agree.  If they can stay within striking distance until the 4th quarter, I'd consider that a strong accomplishment for a young squad.

If I'm a UWL fan and I need to win the last game of the season to make the playoffs, I can think of a few teams I'd rather play before the Pointers. That one could be an interesting finale.

I agree.  But a lot would have to go right for the Pointers and LAX to be in a battle for the 2nd playoff spot.  But wouldnt that be a great finale if both teams have no losses or one loss and it decides who goes and who doesnt.  But thats a big IF for both of the schools to be in that situation at the same time

But I sure hope that this Saturday is the given Saturday when our team stomps LAX within an inch . . .as they say.  +Karma to you 413

I feel that it's kind of funny how many ex-WW players who couldn't cut it end up starting on other teams in the conference......i.e., Adam Neitzel=lax, Zach Bellile=point, Stetson Grant=ec
Contrary to popular belief, Justin Beaver was found to actually have a large "S" on his chest and he actually is INVINCIBLE.

BoBo

Wille, do you really think it's a case of these players not being able to cut it at Whitewater, or just finding their niche and thriving in their new surroundings? Maybe a little of both, possibly? Either way, it's only conjecture that these guys wouldn't ever find the field at WW.  Afterall, many guys commonly spend a couple years working their butt off before they are able to find their way into the lineup...no one really knows what would have happened had they remained at WW.  Even if they saw the writing on the wall and decided to go elsewhere, I don't think anybody here should think any less of them.
BTW, welcome to the board!!

Right back at you, Olinemom.  Good luck to your Bridgewater Eagles today.   ;)  Glad you had such a great time with the Cat familly.

Just to be clear, I didn't say Point would be in line for a 2nd playoff spot.  I just wouldn't want to play Point if I needed a win to get in.
