I'm staggered by the hypocrisy of ftblch07, whose apparent primary motivation in getting registered to post on this site is to create ill will (or worse) by issuing a veiled threat to hurt Michael Zweifel during this Saturday's game.  How does he fit into this soap opera? I don't recall that he ever applied for a job at UWW.  When I went to privately call you out for your venomous rumor-mongering about anonymous letters, I found your email hidden. Interesting coincidence, I'd say. Don't ever use the word "character" on this site again.  You make it a meaningless cliche.  In words Whitewater loyalists have become noted for, "You effed up!"

Just a random thought, but does anybody besides me see some similarities between LC-WW part 1 from last year and the game last Sat.?  Last year, Beaver gets injured in a game that "everybody" said was over?  All the while and before the injury, Beaver runs to daylight, WW stays in rhythm, scoring and scoring.  But many say, why isn't he sitting on the bench, etc?  Fast forward to Sat., LC in a blow out, again, everyone assumes it's over, up by 18 in the fourth quarter.  WW comes back to win. In hindsight, maybe there was a good reason for Beaver to be in that game last year when he got injured - yet, just another unfortunate football injury. We'll never know if LC would have had the same ability to comeback like WW did this year, but WW proved that it can be accomplished in this heated rivalry.

Bobo: I guess I don't know what you want. With SJF losing, who is going to jump up, the No. 6 team that lost at home? That would make even less common sense.

When teams lose, someone has to gain votes.

Pat,

Maybe I'm making a mountain out of a molehill, I agree.  But, quite honestly, I have never seen a poll where you can win on the field and lose so many votes in the voters eyes, be idle and pick up position and multiple votes etc. even with a few "upsets" occurring.  To me a #3 beating the #6 on the road, regardless of he circumstances (unless some seriously questionable things happened to decide the outcome), should earn votes, not lose them.  You probably don't have an answer for that one or you would have wrote something in your reply - and that's fine, I can accept that.  I usually can agree with most thngs you say  :o, but I don't on this issue.  BTW, who are your voters?  ;)

BoBo reign it in a little .....you are making a mountain out of a mole hill. It is what it is just a poll not a document that should be considered infallible. I am certain on a weekly basis votes are cast for many reasons neither you or I would understand.........

Bobo -- read the FAQ.

I am not losing sleep over six points and it is not worth my time to investigate each ballot to figure it out. Not sure why you have even bothered to point it out, though it seems you just like to complain about the poll.

If you want to complain about the poll, complain about the AFCA. They got it wrong and had the higher-seeded team losing at home.

I agree with the postings of the top 25 some of them are even 2-2 and are ahead of teams that are 3-1?  That makes no sense to me when a loss is a loss and a win is a win I don't care who you play there are no points for moral victory are there?

Of course, by this logic 3-1 UW-Whitewater and 2-1 UW-LaCrosse would be behind such juggernauts as 5-0 St. Norbert, 4-0 Plymouth State, 5-0 Case Western Reserve, etc., etc., etc.  Does THAT make sense to you?

What is up with all the recent discussion of the Top 25 lately, both here and on the MIAC board?  While I'm sure the voters are doing the best they can, do you really expect a panel of people to have a firm grasp on what is happening everywhere in the nation every week?  It's nice to have the poll to give a general indication of where knowledgable feel the teams stand, but it's also nice to know that who finishes 2nd vs. 3rd in the poll won't have any effect on who plays for the championship like in D1.

My updated visual poll after Week 5:

UW-Whitewater

UW-LaCrosse/Mary Hardin-Baylor

Everyone else--no legitimate chance at winning the Tournament.

I'd say everyone still has a long ways to go to catch Mount Union.

The conversation of the top 25 is in several different places and regions on this message board, and I would agree it's intensified lately.

I think your points are right on.  +K

I agree with that and admitted as much.  I guess Sunday night (monday morning here) is the wrong time to question the thing.

Nor will I lose sleep over the thing, either.  Please don't interpret my question as a complaint.  I'm just trying to find an answer or try to make heads or tails of the thing and you are obviously the only person with the ability to answer it completely. With the number and frequency of posts on other boards around this nation, too, it's not just me who has issues.

Congrats to UWW.  Huge win on the road and a great comeback.  Cant wait to watch the game on Tuesday night.  As for ftblch, what are you possibly talking about?  You truly are making no sense.  Mike Z looks like a hell of a player and is having a great year, why would you say anything about him or his dad that isnt true.

Bobo nice call on the comeback to last year and this year, I like it and makes perfect sense.

Keep it rolling hawks like I know you will
