So I am assuming that you were there and have some educated opinion or is it uneducated and no opinion ? Read what I was saying. It wasn't about anything other than what was in front of us. Cold mind and cold arm are receipes for disaster at any level of competition and having played and coached at very high levels I speak from experience. Besides I have much respect for Badgerhawk but in this case he joins the ranks of uneducated and opinionated.

I was going to chime in with some serious criticism of stealth while reading his post, but badgerwarhawk said it so well and from a UWW backer, it may have much more impact. +k to you badger....

For what it's worth I didn't mean to imply WARHAWK student fans were chanting obscene things at the LaCrosse game specifically.  Obviously I didn't make that clear and my reference to the chicken incident undoubtedly clouded the issue as well.  It was a reference to past discussions, the most recent a week or so ago, in which our student body's behavior has been called into question.  My bad.

I'm not sure what I said that gave you the opinion I thought your opinion was uneducated or implied that somehow it was inferior to mine or anyone else's.   All I thought I was doing was stating mine and responding to some of your's to make my point.  If that implied I thought your's uneducated or inferior I apologize, that wasn't my intention.   I even said I understood he was coming in cold.   My post wasn't intended as serious criticism of yours even if retagent thinks so.

You feel it was a bad coaching decision.  I simply offered an explanation of why it may not have been.   Those are simply varing opinions, neither necessarily right or wrong and both made with the benefit of hindsight.

No, I wasn't there, but it seemed that your critique of the LAX game was internally contradictory. Also, I always have trouble with someone saying that doing something unexpected (e.g. having a QB just in the game go deep) is somehow a bad strategy. Then, your getting on the UW LAX fans for doing something untoward seemed like a pot calling the kettle black situation, as was pointed out by badger. And I'm not one who usually jumps on the bandwagon that says you can't point out something wrong, just because you may be part of something that has also done something wrong. If it's wrong, it's wrong. But in this case it seemed rather weak to be pointing out this less than admirable behavior.

Now, I'm waiting for your judgement. Am I opinionated, or uneducated. Are those the only options?

badgerwarhawk

Have you ever thought that perhaps you are both uneducated and opinionated, retagent?  That is another option you know.  ;) ;) ;)

Ok, it's bad humor.  I never said I was funny.   But it is intended in jest anyway.

Goal Line Stand

Will try and make one point.  So because UWW students exhibit bad behavior at times, no UWW supporter can point out that it does exist at other schools as well?   ??? ???  I understand the "pot calling the kettle black," thing but let's all agree that pots and kettles exist in every program to some degree.  ;D

I still think your the best at posting. Always great to read what you have to say. Go Hawks. The next level is in front of us. Going to parents day ?

Well, thank you and yes, I will be at parent's day.  Though I'm catching hell for it from my wife.  My sister from Alaska, who I haven't seen in god only knows how long, is visiting and the whole family was suppose to get together but I told them I couldn't make it until after the game.

The funny thing is that my sister understands completely.  When she saw the Stagg Bowl on television last year and realized that it was us  playing she mentioned it to her husband.  He responded by wondering if I would be there and she answered, "if the WARHAWKS are there my brother is there."

Now there's someone who understands priorities.

Hey Voice. Your picture on warhawkfootball.com has the wrong name in the caption. Andy Walters was a saftey and captain, but that was a few years ago.

Well I must say I was very impressed with the WW game last weekend. Both sides of the ball played a great game LAX turned it on early. The team that came out to play for WW the second half was outstanding the D forcing turnovers and the O putting up the points Danny Jones had great composure and spoken before played like a true champion with a starting running back out and a lot of  HEART lead the team to victory. And way to step up Anderson and pull through and lets not forget about the receiving core... My hat goes off to WW great job guys. LAX Better luck next year you played an awesome game as well. Go Hawks.......

Congrats to LB Jace Rindahl of WW, QB Mitch Schaeuble of Eau Claire, and kick returner Kasey Morgan of Stevens Point named WIAC Players of the Week for defensive, offensive, & special teams, respectively.

WIAC losing two terrific SIDs - links to stories of these gentlemen... Thanks to them both for the good work in keeping us WIAC junkies up to date...

UWEC's Tim Petermann is retiring after 40 years - yes, 40, in that role...
Here's a neat recap of his storied tenure:

And UWSP's classy Jim Strick, he of WIAA state tournament hoops games, too, is leaving to be SID for men's hockey at the University of Minnesota...
