But here's a fact you may not have realized. No team has more winning records in the WIAC this century than UW-EC.

That may be true but EC overall record for the last 90+ years is 312-318-25  while WW is 428-231-19

Saint John's is 543-219-24, but I guess we play in a sissy conference :o

If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

Yes, more than U-Dub-Dub.

No offense taken from any of your comments. I have always appreciated and respected your insights on your club and the league in general. You're right, I should have read your pick 'em first .... also, to all .... please know - this century is only seven years old, so far.

All I have been trying to do by jumping back onto the board recently is say that I am proud of what UW-EC has accomplished the past several years. Here's another factoid. Only Whitewater has gone farther than EC in the NCAA Playoffs in the last decade.

Devil Badger Gopher

I wanted to let you all know the stat about the Blugolds having most winning seasons this century is incorrect.  They do not have the most winning seasons in this century in the WIAC.  I checked one team so far and they had more.
*Winning seasons being defined as more wins than losses.
UW-Stout        UWEC
2000 - 10-0     6-4
2001 - 6-3       8-2
2002 - 7-3       8-2
2003 - 5-4       5-5
2004 - 5-4       7-3
2005 - 6-4       6-4
2006 - 3-7       3-7

Looks like Stout 6 winning seasons and Eau Claire 5

And for the record, Stout is 5-2 vs. EC in that stretch.

I knew St. Gags played a lot of cupcakes, but 500+ wins in 7 years??!! Wow!! And I hear he also has a winning record on his home field against most teams .... but not EC.

Since you apparently failed both reading and 'rithmetic, I'm not sure how to respond ... try going back and reading my post and maybe you'll understand the 2nd time around.

I guess I took it to all games not just conference games.

Ummmm, I was responding to Kubiak, who had quoted records for the past 90+ years.  Sheesh.

Touchdown Tommy

Hey Stoutguy,

I was listening to your radio show on Saturday morning and you mentioned you were headed to Chicago for the Marathon.  I am wondering how the young lady who was running is doing.  I sincerely hope everything is okay.  350 to the hospital and 1 person dead is really a serious tragedy.  Let me know.

Your old buddy,

those records were from 1913 to 2006 ...   UWEC didn't join til 1917  but it looks like SJUI has played more games.  UWW has been a school before 1913 but I don't have records before that.... so there

Somewhere along the line, you missed the point about comparing records for this century (as in the 21st). But, in the interest of accuracy, Whitewater's all-time record is 577-321-26. (according to their Media Guide) Eau Claire's is 353-354-34 (hey, they can get back to .500 with a "W" at RF.)

no I know what you were saying  I was just pointing out something else from the WIAC page.  thanks for the update though.  EC had some tough years early on.
