Thanks retagent,
You are right the UMHB game will be the toughest regular season game while the stagg bowl against the Raiders will eb the toughest. As they have two studs on offesne in the top players in D3 football at WR, and RB.
Gotta beat the best to be the best otherwise your just one of the rest

...your comments???   ;)

I can't imagine getting a better set-up line as that unless your name is Johnny Carson.

I'm going to write a letter to the NCAA suggesting they skip the nonsense involved with playing the first 4 rounds of the playoffs when we all know MUC is going to beat the $hit out of UWWW again anyway.  Think of all the money to be saved by the NCAA and the other 30 schools.  I'm sure the players from the other 30 teams that would normally be required to play in what they know is a futile attempt to make it to Salem would be most grateful for the free time.  I'm sure there would be a measurable jump in team GPA as well.  To top it off, the weather in Salem is likely to be much more pleasant on November 17th versus December 15th.  Oh, and I just thought of another one.  The UWWW players will have 4 more weeks to recover from the beat-down before Christmas Day.

My wife is in favor of this too.  Since I've already seen my team actually win a Stagg Bowl over MUC she thinks it's ridiculous that I would want to go again should that unlikely opportunity arise.

And, it is kind of a long drive my house to Collegeville.  This could conceivably save me 4 such round trips.  That would give me more time to analyze 50 years of UWWW statistics to find out which Warhawk running back is the greatest small college running back of all time.

It's a no brain-er.

Maybe I'll turn it in to a petition.

I'm sure I could get thousands of signatures in no time.  The NCAA would have not choice but to do the right thing.

I thought it was a W for each time they made it to the Stagg in a row (three, since this year has already been decided by petition).  University of Win, Win, Wi...  Oh.

Mount has to play WHITEWATER again in the Stagg ???

If that isn't a "been there done THAT" I don't know what is.

At least SJU can say not only did they give Mount all they could handle in 2000, but actually BEAT them in 2003.

Now let's see Whitewater's record against Mount is......ummm.....errrr....never mind.

The Stagg Bowl is so far off and there's so much work to do beforehand that it's silly to be discussing it in mid-October.  Fortunately the team is more focused on beating Stevens Point.  You can say all you want about the strength of their schedule but they are obviously finding ways to win close games and equally obviously, after winning eight straight in league play, are doing something right.   Winning the conference championship and an automatic bid is the top priority and nobody is going to hand it to us without taking their best shot.

You SJU people sure are a sensitive lot.  You should be grateful to us.  After beating you the past two years we were beat up by Mount Union saving you the embarassment of doing it yourselves.  And now you get all worked up because Razor forgets to mention you.  Besides John O'Grady already says you're better than we are.   ;) ;)

Well, let's ask those of you who read this board to comment about this weekends game with UWSP vs UWW.

How many of you hope and pray that UWW loses?

ME!

Maybe that will kill some of this primadona attitude that is all over this board. Kind of like the UWL gang that is absent.

Using that illogic then Stanford/USC, Oregon St./Cal, LSU/Kentucky , etc should have never been played this year. Just cancel the whole season and have a 4 team playoff of the preseaon ranked and call it quits. Any given Saturday but I doubt the beer companies would allow such nonsence.  8)

I use my telekinetic abilities for that.  So far, I have made them lose to MUC twice ;)

It appears Fred's simple question regarding the defensive players of losing teams be considered for player of the week honors has started a trend.  This week it's a Stout player taking home the honors.

Do any of you actually "pray" that WHITEWATER loses?  That seems like kind of a frivolous thing to discuss with your God. :D

Nah, I haven't prayed to God that Whitewater would lose since the 1981 season, and He answered it...they lost...we got a share of the title.

Maybe this site would be so kind as to give the purple people a forum of their own...they can talk WW football all they want and the rest of us could talk WIAC football...(yes, there are other teams in the WIAC besides WW).

Nice to see a true Freshman come in and play like he did last weekend vs La Crosse.  UWP gets the first all WIAC player of the Week award.  He rushed for 151 yards!?!?!?  Platteville?  Rushing?    Two guys over 100 yards in one game???

Sign of the apocalypse...

Hey, where all the LaCrosse people anyway?  WW scared them off or what?
