If you can show me a post in which someone from WHITEWATER has prevented anyone else from talking about whatever they please I wish you'd show me.   With a total of three posts you must be exhausted from the effort.  ;)

From a Stevens Point perspective.  This weeks game IS the season (unless the pull the upset, in which case next week's game IS the seaon).  Had they been able to schedule three D-III teams for non-conference games, then we could discuss their potential for an at-large bid should they fall to UWW.

Unfortunately, their three NAIA wins count for bupkus.  I would think it would be very unlikely Point could get in should they finish 7-1 in region with a lone loss to Whitewater.  There's bound to be too many other schools positioned with 9-1 and 8-1 in-region records.

I thought of this possibilty when Point's schedule came out, but realistically, they were so inexperienced I didn't think we'd get to the point where it might matter.

Actually it does not matter.
We have already "Crowned their A$$!"

Joking aside, I sincerely think that the WIAC may be 0-1 in the playoffs this year, unfortunately.  I am not buying into Stevens Point if they do end up losing one conference game, and Whitewater is not near where they have been and forsee them not cutting it between now and Thanksgiving.

Maybe this site would be so kind as to give the purple people a forum of their own...they can talk WW football all they want and the rest of us could talk WIAC football...(yes, there are other teams in the WIAC besides WW).

Maybe its been so long since someone in the conference has beaten Whitewater that they forgot that most of the other teams even exist.

Why is it that posters from schools other than UWW who would like to see more talk involving their teams always think they are helping the matter by spending most of their posts complaining about how much time is spent talking about Whitewater.  Let me suggest a different approach.  Instead of the occasional, "drive by," post more often and stick to informative, respectful posts.  Less trash talking and more football talk makes it easier to hang around the boards on a regular basis, especially after Saturday's.   ;)

Hmm, if you replace "UWW" with "SJU", this same post has been reiterated on the MIAC board over and over again.   ;) ::)  It's the price of success, I guess.

Seriously, if the Hawks win out in the WIAC, considered to be the toughest D-3 conference, don't see them losing to a first round team which will most likely be an AQ from a weaker conference played at home.  But then, I am an optomist.   8)

I agree.  If the Hawks win out in the WIAC, they should have 1 or 2 seed, and I wouldn't foresee them getting beat first round.  They might not be as good as the past two years, but making it through the WIAC undefeated would make them a pretty solid team.

Awfully big IF...youse guys are sure full of yourselfs and the purple.

UWSP has played tougher competition up to this point in the season. Wins over Webber Int. and River Falls and even UWP are better wins than the WW wins at this point.

I talked with an assistant from Lawrence and he said UWO was tougher on them than was UWW, so that IF is very, very big in my opinion.

This weekend will tell, obviously.  We can only root for and hope and yes, even PRAY that UWW gets a good comeuppance.

UWEC and UWP should be a good game this weekend as well.  UWEC should win.

UWO vs UWLX...poor LAX...he he he...hopefully, 0-4 in the conf.  Hopefully...who am I trying to kid...UWO will win this one going away.  Maybe even a shutout.  That might put a bit of fear in to the purple barney lovers.

I doubt it though... :-*

I'm as big a Point fan as you'll find and I think you're smoking crack with that statement.

Rassler your last comment is so ridiculous I have decided in the middle of sending this message to you not to offer an opinion at all.....

Using that illogic then Stanford/USC, Oregon St./Cal, LSU/Kentucky , etc should have never been played this year. Just cancel the whole season and have a 4 team playoff of the preseaon ranked and call it quits. Any given Saturday but I doubt the beer companies would allow such nonsence.  8)

Yuh think?  If only ROR had been making that very point.  Damn shame the man's so subtle.
