Using that illogic then Stanford/USC, Oregon St./Cal, LSU/Kentucky , etc should have never been played this year. Just cancel the whole season and have a 4 team playoff of the preseaon ranked and call it quits. Any given Saturday but I doubt the beer companies would allow such nonsence.

Just some random thoughts based upon nothing more than past experience. If UWW beats UWSP, and UWSP wins out after that, UWSP makes the playoffs. UWW has a chance to make the playoffs even if they lose to UWSP and UMHB, slim, but a chance. UWW makes playoffs, but is a #2 seed if they beat UWSP and lose to UMHB. UWW is a #1 seed if they go undefeated.

You're more optimistic than I am about UWSP's Pool C chances.  I think the lack of D-III games is going to hurt.  I know intuitively we all feel that the second best team in the WIAC belongs in the field, whoever they are.  But I don't think the criteria are going to support that in this case.

Point is going to come up short on regional winning percentage.  (Everytime I punch it into the calculator 9-1 is better than 6-1).  When being compared to another contender its likely there won't be any common opponents to compare to.  I think the committee would be able to find a number of contenders who will beat Point on the primary criteria due to their lack of in-region non-conference games.

And as much as I like this team, I'm not convinced they would be able to run the rest of the table after UWW, which would render the entire discussion a moo point*.

My one thought though, Just Bill, is that Point at 7-1 might not be going up against 9-1 but rather 8-2 type teams...  I don't have any stats on the football side, but what've the Pool C bids looked like in football for the last several years (at least record-wise)?

Can you tailgate at Point? Beer allowed?
Absolutely, especially since the stadium is not on campus property.  But, going with red cups is never a bad idea, just to be safe.

Thanks justbill. Does there happen to be a bar close by where you could get a sandwich and beer before the game? (in case I'm too lazy)

The undisputed pre-game hangout is Partner's Pub.  It's 4 blocks north of the Goerke Field.  Follow Minnesota Ave to Stanley Street.

Last year two 9-1 teams were left out.

La Crosse's QB Moe did not play in the 4th quarter at P-ville last Saturday #10 Seguin did.  Was he hurt again or was there another reason.  Moe not being in the game sure changed La Crosse's offense.  Anyone from La Crosse have any info?

KitchenSink

Watched the Plat-LC replay on FSN last night.  Looked like Moe got pulled for a bad interception near the end of the 3rd Qtr.  Way underthrew a pass, easy picking's for Plat LB.
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

Does anyone have a clue what the all time rushing record in D3 football for a career?
