It's game time boys!  Let's get this party started!  And whoever said that we would be beating 30 something to 15 or whatever, I seriously doubt that.  We aren't just some upstart red headed step child who just happened into the playoffs and who has dominated the ASC and taken away many recruits from Hardin Simmons.  We are a hard nosed quality team and we have come to play.

I'll settle for a smash mouth game where the final score is looking forward to a rematch in late november.  A game that is so hard fought that all the games between now and then are fodder,feeding teh beast of revenge.

I think that is the only thing we CAN be sure about is smashmouth football.  It should be great!

UWW Defense.
UMHB miscues - turnovers and penalties.
The play of Jones.
Good pass protection, for the most part, by UWW O line.

An aside, Beaver really was not much of a factor.

The UMHB vs UWW game is late in the 4th quarter, but the game is over.

I concur. UWW's D has looked great, especially the interior line.  The DB's  looked good. they were been aided by some poor decisions by Welch,  but made the most the opportunities.  Congrats guys.

Congratulations to the new #2 team in the nation.  The Warhawks are a fine football team and did exactly what a  good team does in taking advantage of the opponent's turnovers. 

Good luck in the playoffs and hopefully we can try it again in the future!!

Wow definitely didn't see that one coming... UWW D came up huge... contained Thrasher and Daniels... Turnover margin won the game for UWW

My take on the big UWW/UMHB showdown. UWW played solid. They got a great game from Jones. I would disagree with UMHBalum, and say he was the #1 reason for the rout. He hit receivers when he needed to, and used his feet more than effectively. UMHB QB on the other hand was forced to pass by the UWW "D" shutting down, for the most part, the NFL hyped runningg back tandem, and until the fourth quarter, his passing was less than stellar. They also didn't seem to use the speed option much when that seemed to be working in the first half. They came out in the second half, and it looked like UWW had seen that weakness, and made the adjustments. Good game by UWW, and I thought that UMHB was better than the final score.

Great game, Warhawks, you definately deserve the game.  We did NOT play our best  and y'all came with smash mouth football!  Much props!  Hope to see you soon!

Defensive game plan was very strong.  footballfan413 was right earlier in week saying Borland and staff would have the hawks prepared.

Jones played very well again today - 13-19 no turnovers.  I think the concerns over his slow start to the season should really be put to rest.

Great first half fueled by the turnovers...second half too much on cruise control for my liking.

UMHB held Beaver in check, only 77 yards.  After the 23 yard td run in the first, he was pretty quite.  But, just having him in there made a big difference.

Lots of penalties, especially the 15 yard variety.  Each team got a TD's coming courtesy of undecipline play.

With Point playing themselves out of possible playoff contention with a loss vs UW-O, WW needs to avoid a let down at Stout (hung on for a 21-28 win over UW-L) to win the championship and automatic berth.

Congrats to the Blue Devils for pulling out a great win and only WIAC team to win on the road today.  They are 3-1 in LaCrosse since 2001.  This makes next weeks game very interesting.
