I was impressed with the UMHB defense, especially the run defense. The Crusader running game had some early success with the option but the Warhawks eventually figured out how to slow it down. The under thrown passes by the Crusader QB and the penalties really were a deciding factor in the first half.

MHB defense was very impressive.

MHB QB had a pretty bad game.  Trying to throw long outs, or off his back foot, into the wind = bad idea.

Let me restate that.  A VERY, VERY BAD idea.

Stats from RF 42-36 win over P in OT:  Harmon 26/37/2 and one TD; Anderson 214/42 carries, 3 TD's; Zweifel 17 catches (new Falcon record) for 1 TD. Falcons trailed 29-14 at half; Stoller 5 punts for 39.2 average; Ben Arata 8 total tackles to lead defense.

Unfortunately, I "chose" to attend "Menopause, the Musical" in Minneapolis and was not present.

Congrats to the Blue Devils for pulling out a great win and only WIAC team to win on the road today.  They are 3-1 in LaCrosse since 2001.  This makes next weeks game very interesting.

  Leading 31-7 at the end of 3 only to win 31-28?  Hanging on for a great win would be more like it, but a road win nevertheless; they never come easy in this league.  WW eeks out a road win themselves next week, to win the conference outright for the 3rd straight year.

Now that I've given the love half of my Love/Hate relationship ,,,,,,,,,,, What's with the cheapness? I buy a program, get to my seat and see it's a program from the UWW/OW -Oskosh game. That's really a nasty bit of business. If I wanted that program, I would have gone to that game, BUT  I DIDN'T. I WAS AT TODAY'S GAME.

BIG WIN for WW...shows how damn good the WIAC is...but looks like they will be the only WIAC in the playoffs....thats fair!!

UMHB, never doubt the predictions.  I know this posting site is a lot more aggressive then what I'm used to, but gese, know the role.

I only saw one recruiting visit come through the weight room, and it was for baseball!!!  Had it been football, they would have seen a great win by a good team.  I'm not predicting anything, but Mount Union/WW I hope will be a good matchup if the starts align and lets it be for a third straight year.  Then we can have other fans post on this site and tell us we are dumb.

I'll pretend you don't really think they handed out last week's program on purpose.  You'd have to be pretty thick to think they were intentionally handing out the wrong programs in an attempt to save a couple of dollars.  I'm sure you're smarter than that.

Well, Just Bill, was I the only one to get an old program? Did they somehow happen top know I'm a Johnnie fan and pick it out just for me? Maybe they should toss the programs after that particular game. You can believe that I'll pay attention, before I pay my hard earned $3.00 again. Sheesh!!

Just back from the Perk after watching UWW play their best game of the year and saw Danny Jones take over the offense. MHB took away the run from Beaver but Jones cut them up. MHB is a very good team but can only run on offense.....that won't cut it to beat teams like Mount Union and UWW. I have seen UWW get better each game and now they are a much improved team from the one who lost to St.Cloud in September. At the start of the year I thought this was the weakest of the Warhawk teams of the last three years because of all the high profile players they lost this year but now I am beginning to believe that this team is pretty darn good too. Celebrate tonight and get ready to Pound the Rock next weekend up North.....Note: MHB is a good team that played poorly but the biggest difference on the field today was the two quarterbacks...Jones was superb while the MHB qb struggled especially passing.......
