I was impressed by Zwiefel when he played against the Johnnies.

Does Stout have a chance this week?

A tradition unrivaled...

It is the Wacky WIAC, Duff, of course they have a chance!  Blue Devils always play UWW tough especially in their house.

Agree with 413....they always play them tough on the billiard table. Would be happy with getting out of there with a win and no one getting hurt on that surface.....

There is a pretty signifigant talent disparity between RF and WW, I'm sure there are a half dozen WR at WW who could put up big #'s if they were thrown the ball as much as Z is.  Thats the thing about the position though, you don't need to be really good to put up really good #'s, a lot has to do with how often they try to get you the ball.  I would defenitly not take River Falls best receiver over WW back ups any year.

Wow. You obviously know little about Michael Zwiefel or the Warhawks but you're a fan. Even if you had a clue you'd know that he could've started for us this year.

All this "Z" talk is really interesting.  Here is what I think.  Two "Z"s will be making big noise in either Oshkosh or Platteville next year.

It's inevitable, sakman 1111, as long as there's a Z and an opening in the WIAC, they will probably be mentioned together.

Good news for River Falls as the Kansas City Chief have announced that they will exercise their option and return to the campus next summer for training camp.   18th season, I think.

Following the news the mayor was seen doing cartwheels and handstands.  Later he was seen at the hospital emergency room.

I think that is how the Mayor lost his hair.   I have no idea how I lost mine.  Hope to see you at the game, BW.  Stop by the booth if you come.  I get to do this game as our HS team is now playing tonight rather than Sat. so I get to do both.  I promise not to ever say "Take that WW" if Stout happens to score as I was accused of 2 years ago (even though it was my partner who said it) as WW kicked it in gear soon after and kicked the B-Jesus out of us.

I invited DustySJU to come up at halftime and talk some St. Johns/WW matchup smack, but he can't make it to "scout" you guys as he had first planned.  I just love to hear you WW/St. Johns guys go at it.  It's what makes D3 football so awesome.

On still another matter, why is Kari's husband, Joe, not helping Pat with the men's basketball team?  I talked with both Pat and Kari yesterday but didn't realize until on the way home that Joe wasn't coaching.

Trying to stir you WW guys up a bit but I guess it's early,  no takers,  and I have to go soon.  How about this one.  Our SID told me yesterday that in the event of a 3-way tie in the conference (Like that's going to happen) the team that was in the playoffs last would be the first to get thrown out of the mix.  Now if that isn't the dumbest tie-breaker I have heard in a long time.  Are you scared yet, WW, because if Stout wins and then WW loses to Platteville next week (are you scared yet?), then that 3 way tie could happen.  Now what do ya all think about that??

Check out this link about UWW's CPA program...

http://www.uww.edu/marketingandmedia/news_releases/2006_03_cpa_results.html

I'll just give you a highlight of it...

"UW-Whitewater ranked second behind Wake Forest University among those schools with the highest rates of passing of all sections among all first-time candidates (with and without advanced degrees)."

Note: Having a great accounting program does not make you a great business school.  Given the choice between UWW and Wharton, I would recommend Wharton.   UWW may produce CPAs, but Wharton and the other schools I mentioned produce CEOs.

But whatever gets you through the night.

It's called the "Rose Bowl Rule" and the Big Ten used it for decades before the BCS came about.  Many other leagues still use it.  I know it may come into play in the SCIAC this year.

You can still call it dumb if you want, but I didn't want you to think that the WIAC invented it out of thin air.
