Gee stealth. You seem to have it all figured out. If I was as pi%$ed off as you I'd take my toys and go somewhere else. If I believed as you do, I would not be able to, in good conscience, live in such a corrupt society.  By the way, how many courses have you taken at Wharton in order to be so knowlegeable about what they teach. I guess you don't have to be a CEO in order to be an idiot.

By the way, it's NAFTA(North American Free Trade Agreement), and "They're"(not their). I hope they teach English better at WIAC schools that you have shown.

Funny little blurb in the Eau Claire Leader-Telegram, on Thursday, from the archives 75 years ago, Nov. 1, 1932:

Two Eau Claire youths get a day in jail for sneaking into the college football game.

I wonder what the statute of limitations is on something like that??? I don't want Dog the Bounty Hunter showing up at my door for my youthful indiscretions in the 1970s... ;)

Hey Warhawks fans here:

Just a little survey question...
Who is the best running back to ever play in the NFL?

ihavesomething2say

Bulk:
you know their answer will be Justin Beaver

KitchenSink

Probably Jim Brown, though Sweetness would be on the same level.

Next question ... ?
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

bulk19

Are you speaking on behalf of all Warhawks fans, KitchenSink?

Don't hedge by saying "probably." Pick one...

Warhawk 96

Congratulations to the Warhawks on a third consecutive conference championship. I am soooooo glad they clinched it at Stout, especially with all of the hating that comes from some of the posters from there. There's something refreshing about that.

The best running back ever? I'd say Barry Sanders from all of the people that I have seen. he even made the Lions look okay...........and we can see where they've gone without him.

Purpleed-

Beaver is by far our biggest offensive weapon so we have to give him a ton of carries. Kmic has the luxury of having a Garcon/Michelli combo to aid the offensive production. With all of the defense keying on Beaver in the redzone, because we don't have a Garcon split out for defenses to honor, we don't always just pound Beaver into the endzone like I'm sure you guys can do over at MUC. So to answer your question, no he isn't taken out close to the goalline but he is sometimes used as a decoy to an overpursuig defense.

OK.  Fine.

Jim Brown.

And I'm speaking on behalf of only one Warhawk fan - me.

I don't beleive I've ever fallen into the "carried away" trap.

If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

SHOULDN'T SAY THAT," TO

Warhawk96 - Thanks! I was curious as to what the team has done with regards to Beaver getting a lot of carries. He's a heck of a ball carrier. Kmic hasn't reached 1,000 yards yet.

BTW...Jim Brown...hands down. Had the privilege of watching him play.

OK -

So Emmitt Smith was cited earlier as the NFL's all-time leading rusher... And when the question was asked who the "best" all time is, there have been five different players named so far - Jim Brown, Walter Payton, Barry Sanders, Bo Jackson and Gale Sayers...

My point? Unless one is strictly measuring/rating a player by stats, it's often a subjective choice we make as to who we consider the best, based on overall talent and skills, intangibles, character, heart and unmeasurables, or who we'd want on our team, or who we've seen play, and how broad our scope is = for how many years we've been following football, and how many players we've seen play...

Those of us posters here who do not see things through purple-colored glasses have not denied that Justin Beaver is a good back. But to call our opinions ignorant, as was suggested in previous posts, because we may not all agree that he's the best, or can cite players who may be better or just as good overall, is just plain silly...

I don't believe there is just one answer to that question, nor as to who the best ever was in the NFL... For if there were just one correct answer as to who the best ever was in the NFL - stipulating that one of the names listed above is the correct answer - at least four Warhawk posters who answered the question are therefore ignorant, too  ;)

P.S. Sweetness Payton is my choice... And I'd actually pick a guy named Roger Vann for my team, too...

bulk19

P.S. None of the respondents who replied about NFL backs were the ones who are calling the rest of us ignorant.
Those posters haven't posted again since those comments were made...

janesvilleflash

I posted because I'm ignorant. It was way to easy to see what you were fishing for. I happen to agree with you though, so played along, as I'm sure the others did. The who's better crap gets old. Having said all that, I bet my dad can beat up your dad.

I get it, too.

Mainly I'm just a reader on your board because the game my Linfield Wildcats played against Whitewater was one of the best games I've ever seen, and that's made me pretty much a Whitewater fan since then.

But I couldn't help throwing in a pointless vote for Walter Payton.
