"My Man" is a reference to the movie American Gangster, which I recommend everyone sees along with We Own the Night.  Although I will take Beaver as my man any day I was just referencing a movie.  I like the call on Raebel for player of the year as well.  He has dominated every game he has played in.

How did he get "hawk"  in the name  ??? Should it be BobBlueGold or something like that  ;D

yes he definitely is "Your Man"  which definitely explains all the biased comments you make.

bobhawk, are you serious with that post.. get a clue
There's only one way to find out if a man is honest...ask him. If he says 'yes,' you know he is a crook.

First Bracket projection is up - #1 seed for UW-Whitewater, and a game vs Cal Lutheran.  The Danny Jones reunion bowl.

How 'bout that?
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

that would be nice to see as many of the CLU players talked to DJ weekly

Do you think Mike Emendorfer of UW-Platteville can survive as head football coach with only two wins overall and one in the conference?  I wonder why they hang on to him with such a poor overall record.  If he is fired, any thoughts on who might want the job?

My weekly prediction is 35-3.  GO HAWKS.  Love the Cal U matchup then the Cali boys will all know why Danny Jones transferred.  See you at the perk.

The question I am pondering is what is the 5 year plan for warhawk #3.  a)return to coaching? b) Future mayor of IOWA? c) some form of the league?

Also love the call for Mr. Cary-Grove as MVP. and his mother as most dedicated tailgater... thoughts?

speaking of danny jones. I know this is old news, but does anyone have any insight on why he transfered from Cal Lutheran? Was it just becuase being a Warhawk would be a better opportunity for him, playing on a bigger stage?

I've never discussed the matter with Danny myself but that is generally believed to be the reason.

think i'll be going to the game saturday. See them smoke the Pioneers on senior day!!!

I guessing Danny wanted to win some games and play in the stagg bowl.  Looks like a good move at this point.  See you at the perk, maybe in Scarver Country.  Gotta love it.

I asked the SCIAC site on why Danny transfered. They informed me that is was particially because on an offseason coaching changed that occured. As a Warhawk fan, I'm obvisouly loving the move. He was 1st team all conference his sophomore and junior year at Cal Luth, but he was in a much weaker conference though.

No, I don't work closely with the players but I have spoken with Danny a few times and the situation regarding his transfer is pretty well known among the Quarterback Club of which I am an active member.  I also do volunteer work with the football program.   Though it doesn't involve direct contact with team members it does involve contact with the staff.   But the whole thing with Danny is no secret and we've discussed it here extensively in the past.

Hope you enjoy the day at the Perk and observe what our MIAC friends refer to as a "monkey stomping."

I am up for an old fashioned monkey stomping.....300 yards for Beaver on Palmyra day, a couple of big plays for #1 in his last regular home game, how about one more TD for #3, and some playing time for the Razor.  Two horns will be present at the Perk Saturday for the first time this year be there early Tim. All this can happen Saturday....Pound the Rock....See you at the Perk.....
