The first and still most accurate description of the D3 Championship BeltTM thread.

I may be a little late with this response to the RB debate, but what would have happened if Colin Burns wouldn't have had to leave football so early in his career?  But I think the best running back in the last few years, who only played 1 year in D-3, may have been Owen Schmidt.
I may not have much to say, but I'll say it anyway.

I'm guessing Beaver will probably take a seat on the bench in the 3rd Qtr if the game is in hand, and Brady Pittz gets a a bunch of playing time as a reward for being a good backup and special teamer on Senior Day.

So he may only end up with 25 carries or so, and a smaller yardage total unless he busts a couple of long runs.
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

John O'Grady, in his weekly audio clip, predicts that because Oshkosh wants Moriarty to win the rushing title, they will call his number a record/near record no. of times vs. RF, a team which has not stopped a good rushing attack this season. He also mentioned that Beaver possibly will be on the bench late in the game vs. P.

So that means he'll get 55 carries for 22 yards right?

Winning a rushing title for a 3-3 team might be a feather in his cap, but it doesn't win MVP awards in my book.

On second thought, maybe RF should give Oshkosh a huge, insurmountable early lead, so Oshkosh coaches have no choice but to take him out before he has a chance to roll up record breaking rushing attempts and yards.  Oops!! These are the kind of games he gets the majority of his yards...oh, forget that thought.  ;)

We all know why Danny Jones transfered to WW. The Raiders already had a QB. ;D

I know I mentioned this before the season started. Just havin' some fun.

I guessing Danny wanted to win some games and play in the stagg bowl.  Looks like a good move at this point.  See you at the perk, maybe in Scarver Country.  Gotta love it.

To win some games you mean.  Getting to the Stagg?  Hmmmm..... not this year.

Warhawk 96,

What are you referring to "55 carries for 22 yards"??

BoBo,

Just wait a minute...how many points were the Hawk's up when Beaver broke his collar bone late in the 4 quarter of a game last year???

Comments (insults) like these makes it hard for posters to pull for the Hawk's when playoffs begin!!  Show some CLASS!!

Awwwww did I huuuuurt your liiiitle feeeeeelings with a joke about him not getting the yards he neeeeeds. I hope you were drunk when you wrote that cause you sound like an emo kid. The hawks were up by maybe 21 or somethin like that when he went down with about 8 minutes to go in the fourth quarter? Don't get where that put down was trying to go. While we're talking about last year, how many yards did the Sultan of Oshkosh have against us?

BoBo,

Since you could not put my statement together,,let's spell it out..the reason I wondered about Beaver's injury is that he was still "racking up" yards in a game long decided..you indicated that Mo's yards only come against poor teams..GET IT NOW??

About RF coach comment about Osh wanting a rushing title and determined to get for Mo,  excuse me but Mo gives them the best chance to win games, so won't he carry the ball??  If your still confused contact the local grade school for help..

I haven't posted on here most of the week as the subject matter didn't interest me.  Don't like to get into a pi@#$%% contest about whose player is better but now it is time for cooler heads to prevail.  Both Beaver and Moriaty are extemely talented backs.  Both deserve all the records and accolades that they have earned.  You are comparing apples and oranges, however, because both backs play on different teams, have different o-lines, different opponents, etc.  No right answer here, much credit to both and a special good luck wish to Andy as he will be playing in his final college football game tomorrow.

Wiacpower, I have read plenty of cockiness coming from both sides of the arguement, IMHO.  Pulling for the Hawks who will represent the WIAC as the AQ should not depend upon anything written in a blog by a few posters.

You better check your facts on this one bro.  The top five rushing games Moriarty has amounted have come against conference opponents. I think you should look into the last time Oshkosh had an "insurmountable lead" against anyone.  This is a team that must scratch and claw to win every game. They do not have the talent of a Whitewater team.  This team lives and dies by Moriarty.  When he gets the rock, they win.  When the run game is not working, game over. Case in point, Whitewater the past two years. If you need proof look at UWO's passing stats the past four games. Another note, Beaver should feel fortunate he has not had to go against the UWW D the past 4 years. For if he had, he would have gotten nowhere.  Bottom line, The Whitewater D over the past 4 years has been the best the WIAC has ever seen.
