I would like to congratulate all the 2007 WIAC All-Conference players.  It is a great honor to be recognized as one of the best in conference at any level!  17 Warhawks............let me say that again.....17 WARHAWKS were recognized as All Conference as well as POY, Scholar and Sportsman of the year.  That is a lot of respect, IMHO.  Different levels are subjective and there are only so may pieces of the pie to go around.

Congrats to Justin Beaver, not only the best player in the league but the league's Max Sparger Scholar-Athlete as well.  A leader on the field, a leader in the classroom.  

Also congrats to Coach Glaser.  He's a deserving winner and did a great job with EC this year.  I doubt anyone  outside the EC program felt they would do as well as they have and they overcame injury issues to fashion a solid season.  That deserves recognition.  I hope they go deep into the tournament.  

Of course I was hoping that Coach Leipold would get it.  That's probably a big surprise to most of you, right?     Though he inherited a good team it still took solid coaching to achieve another undefeated conference season.   But, truthfully, I can't present a overwhelming argument against the choice of Coach Glaser.  So that's the way it goes.

badgerwarhawk, since the NWC All-Conference 1st team consists of a Don Hanson-like 15 players on offense and 17 on defense, maybe we can have 2 coaches share the COY award, too?

Who really cares what bobhawk thinks. The smart people on here meaning the Warhawk fans. Know that the warhawks have by far the best talent in the league, as if we didn't we would not have just won our third straight conference title. Know I am not saying there aren't other talented players because there are, however UWW has the best talent in the league, and some darn good coaching as well.
So Bobhawk relax and just face the facts that the Hawks are forming a dynasty in the toughest division three conference in America a dynasty many people thought was going to fall apart when a certain someone did not get the job (zweifel) why he didn't get it who knows, and who cares. Because the Hawks are going to once again get to the Stagg bowl because they are the best and they rock.
It's time to pound some crusaders this Saturday  , and then get to the abr to watch the badgers kill some gophers on the big ten network.
