Sounds like your WIAC officials are trying to job the Johnnies.

Good for them...glad they got the memo.  ;)

EDIT:  the WW announcers are also complaining about the officials...do you think they're from...?  Don't know :D

By the way, and I've seen it often, When did dominant become "dominate" as in The Warhawks were dominant (not dominate)

First of all ... St. Norbert has a very good football team. They could have won and I'm sure their fans are devastated at how close they came today.
But this Eau Claire team just seems to find a way to get 'er done. Two straight weeks of scoring in the final minute! Schaeuble is clutch ... and Chris Hull, despite a sore shoulder ... hauls in the GW pass.
St. Nubs did an excellent job of protecting #6 ...he is an outstanding QB.,,, but, partly because of the tough cross-wind and partly because of the BG "D"...he wasn't able to hit the home runs he normally does.
WIAC now 14-10 in post-season play ... measuring up to the standards we feel they've earned.
And today's F.B.U.U.F (fascinating, but utterly useless factoid). Cody Craig's dad (Mark) was EC coach Todd Glaser's boss when Glaser was an elementary school phy ed teacher in Neillsville!

Congrats to the Blugolds--now knock off the Royals so the Johnnies can have another game at home this year!

Congrats to the Blugolds!!  As a faithful SNC fan, this loss was a heartbreaker but it was a well fought game on both sides.  Good luck UWEC as you face off against Bethel on Saturday.  While I'll be sad to not be there cheering on my green and gold Knights I will be rooting for you;)

gbfan413 -
Thanks!

I'd give you another karma point, but I used my daily allotment up for you earlier today... ;)

retagent, just curious, which comment ticked you off and which one made you laugh?  It could go either way.  :-\
BTW, would you believe the "dominate" comment was planned that way, since we hadn't had a comment regarding word usage or grammar, in what, 2 days??  I just wanted to see which PP English teacher with extraordinary intellectual power would make the first comment - congratulations.
Concerning your comments about the WIAC game officials, with any luck, you'll get them again next Saturday.  It's amazing the efforts you made to let everyone on the WIAC thread know how "bad" the officiating was in a 41-13 game.  ::)

Hey bulk19

Just read the post(s)...........thanks for the laugh!! ;D

Sakman 1111

Rainy cold day at the Perk yesterday but a great game to watch. In talking to members of the Oline they were somewhat puzzled by all the holding calls yesterday to put it lightly......hopefully we can avoid this crew the rest of the way. Over all was a great day but the crowd was a little thin. Awesome tailgate with some awesome Chicago chili and Iowa tortilla soup....hope the Capital people enjoyed the food. Next it's North Central, I for one enjoy seeing us play some diiferent teams. After the game the Capital coach gave props to Danny J. who he  said with the turnovers was the difference...... Pound the Rock......

So, I'm in a bar in Chicago last nite (no, this isn't a set-up for a joke) and I meet this girl who's a Lacrosse Grad.  I immediately tell her that both Eau Claire and Whitewater won yesterday in the playoffs.  She asks "how'd you know that" so I telll her about D3Football.com.  She thought I was the biggest dork, but, somehow I still got laid.

Thanks D3Football.com!!!

In other news, I saw North Central play at Elmhurst earlier this year in the game that supposedly turned their season around.   They're not bad, but, I don't think they'll have much of a chance against the Hawks.

Also, next week will be my first attempt at tailgating at the Perk.  As such, I am sure I will make some rookie mistakes.  Try and not make fun of me too much.
Billy-o, man!

I thought LL was going to lose it after one of the holding penalties. He is fun to watch, especially when he disagrees with a call by the officials.
I doubt we will see that crew again. As I think they try and take one crew from each conference for the playoffs. However I may be wrong on that maybe Voice can help us out on that with some inside information.
Okay another W for the hawks, and three more to go until a return trip to the stagg bowl.
GO HAWKS POUND THE ROCK

Warhawk 96

Great outing at the Perk. Congrats to Ryan Ogrizovich for clinching the first annual Warhawk 96 play of the year award with that sack, forced fumble/recovery (or interception?), and touchdown in the same play. Capital played pretty well overall. It's always great to see a D-lineman taking a handoff.

Now bring on North Central and the return of Anthony Imbordino.

Great job, Warhawks!  First 3 quarters were a little scary.........but knew we'd be ok with Beaver getting his yards.

I agree with 96, Griz's take away was the play of the game!

Got to mention the officiating.  Capital 3 penalties and not one holding????  Hawks get hit with 8?

Congrats to Capital on a very well played game.  Gave the Hawks all they could handle until they were able to break away in the 4th!   Did not see an offense, "in shambles."  Capitals D was good but the Hawks was better!  Good luck next year.

Congrats to the BluGolds.  Now beat Bethel!!!

Let's get ready to rock NCC!

badgerwarhawk,

Took this off the CCIW thread...in North Central College, me thinks we might have another Wesley on our hands - fans commenting about the field and shoes.  Can the cannon be next?

I see that UWW has a grass playing surface. I hope NCC buys different shoes for their players. Today's game at Franklin was NCC's first game on grass this year. In their turf shoes, our backs and receivers slipped and fell several times on potential big plays."

Not the shoes again!   ;)  Hey Bobo, I can't see the picture in your by-line.  Is that just me or is anyone else having the same problem.  Doesn't help to right click and click, "show picture."  Tried that already.  Just curious.
