My only comment:

Who are the best players at each position in conference history?

QB--Jacobs, Krause, Kirk Baumgartner, Reed Giordana
RB-Beaver, Bundgaard, Spencer Johnson, Moriarity
WR-Stanley, Lescynski, jeff gosa, burnoski, theo blanco
OL-Sakellaris, Mayberry Tom Newberry, Derrick LeVake
TE-Schmitt, Whitaker, Adamcyk, Docherty
DL-Kleppe, Byrne, Hazuga,
LB-Raebel, Kriewaldt, Spielman, , Widuch, Mike Maslowski
DB-Beckham, Teeples, Wolter
P-Turk, Croak, Gmack, Roszak
K-Schebler, Wurth, Raschke, Jensen, Mader

I added my comments in the UWW color and made an adjustment at LB ;D ;D ;D  And as most know, my absolute favorite is Peter Schmitt, period.  But the others are all in purple.  What can I say?  When you're old as dirt, you get to have favorites.  My rules.

We got your point now put a hat on it so no one sees it.   ;D Thanks for recognizing an attempt at some humor. The board gets a little heated at times.

For the next game we will have both sides sign an etiquette code of conduct prior to the game.  The code will have specific references discouraging foul language, manly banter and any form of trash talking, no pointing of any kind will be a lesson point. The old Sticks and Stones song will replace the teams fight, I mean, inspirational, song.
Ann Landers, or similar, will be brought in to conduct seminars prior to the game and at half time in the locker rooms.
No emotion will be allowed during the gentlemens match nor the occasional "ass, sorry, I mean rear end, patting for a good job.
Followed after the game no matter how many clips, chop blocks, eye goughing under the fumble pile, spitting on or major late hits on the QB out of bounds (reference NCC hit on Jones) hand holding love fest or singing of Kumbaya, losers, sorry again, I mean non winners choice as long as it is in good taste and NOT ON OUR W.
Deepest Respect Always.

(or the late hit on Fanthorpe that WASN'T called) Didn't mean to start a quibble about what was called or not called. That wasn't the point of my post. Funny post though. If I could give karma, I would.  ;D

He still trash talks. I played in a charity golf event with him last year and he was non stop. Him and Barkley were on it all day even over 3 foot putts. All in good nature but you could tell the competitive fire was still there in both of them. Of course there are some famous ones who trash talked back in the day. Joe Namath, Mean Joe Green, Jack Lambert, most of the Raiders, Babe Ruth, Casey Stingle, Muhammad Ali, etc. . Point being it's not new. Back in the day you had better be able to back up the talk and have your head on a swivel or the next thing coming your way was a forearm shiver or a serious stomp in the pile, a fast ball on the chin, etc. Today it's an unsportsmanlike penalty in football and an ejection/suspension in baseball for taking care of the trash talkers so they get away with it. So what are you going to do about uh , nothin like I thought.  ;D

BTW, one of the greatest trash talkers of all time was Michael Jordan. He abused people and let them know both before and after he did it. I don't think anyone ever thought of him as classless.

Its all about the marketing. You got to be like mike.......

Been doing some snooping on a few other boards and it appears there are several posters who don't expect to see the Hawks in Salem for a third shot at the National Championship.  Guess monkey stompin the #2 and taking their place isn't enough to erase the doubters.  Going to have to keep earning respect, Hawks!  Let's start with the Lil' Giants.  Appears that they will be bringing a formidible passing attack and a heck of a linebacker so need to come out fast and get on top of them early.  Let's Pack the Perk!

You got me there on that one coach.  I would like to think that I played the game with a lot of class but also played with a lot of emotions and didn't like the garbage so I took it to a guy every play and then let them know about every now and then.

I think you gotta have Leszczynski in there at the wideouts.   ;D  Looks good to me, but now you got me upset so i'll take the list that didn't make it, play a game and I bet  you my team wins!

Hey, Jimmy L - Congrats on the IFL championship.  Was at the game vs Muskego - great game.

Yes sir we did beat them.  Nothing like beatin up on a rivalry!  ;D  Anyone down for playing some good ball still, you know how to get a hold of me.  Cu Cu Cuta and Goo would be oline of the league hands down.

Anyways.....Hawks-Alot   Little Giants-A little

Hey footballfan413, did you get a chance to view any of that Wabash/CWR game you found on Case TV?  If so, any thoughts (and be honest)?  I've watched the first quarter and a little of the second. Can't say that I've seen anything yet that makes me want to say WOW!, but it's still early.  What about you?

"D3" football has to have the most easily offended fans in sports.

NCC fans are offended by UWW's trash talking
UWW fans complain about MHB's jumping on Whitewater's W
SJU fans are offended when Goo suggests that SJU's dynasty may be over.
Note: he did not question SJU's historical dominance.  He said they may not be a great as they once were.

Cardinaldad has to win for most naive person in the world.  Reggie White never trash talked...sure.  And I just spotted Santa Claus on the radar.  Hey, there's the Easter Bunny!

There's a reason Jerry Rice will always be held in higher regard that TO, even if TO were to break every record Rice ever set.

I don't know.  Did you see Dancing with the Stars?

I have seen both UWW and Wabash play. I think UWW can expect a team very similar to NCC this weekend. certainly their uniforms will be the same (white w red). Wabash will pass the ball more than NCC . The Little Giants will have more fan support and more spirit than any visiting team you have seen in a long time, that's for sure.

I think wabash's defense will have a hard time with the UWW offense. I also think Wabash will really struggle running the ball but will look to move the ball with short passes and take their shots down the field when the opportunity presents itself. Wabash will have to play very well to stay in this game but they certainly know that. You can be sure they will play as hard and cheer as loud as anyone you have seen for all 4 quarters regardless of the score.

You do know that SJU has played at UWW the past two years?  I would be impressed if the LG's fans could outnumber/out-spirit the Johnnie fan base.

Outnumber, maybe not. But outspirit I'd take the odds on. We're a crazy bunch. I wish I could be there. Y'alls stadium looks awesome. And I'd love to see your Beaver (heh heh) in person.

Good to hear that you have a loud and supportive fan base....it should help to get the WW crowd more into the game...the Perk should be rocking!

Actually ran out of beer last week when all the deerhunters showed up but this week will stock up....Time for some fun Saturday against the Little Giants.....Pound them!!!!!!......
