As far as the Trey Bell post...Probably should have been on the list, but it's hard to see his value on paper cause teams would just never throw at him.  Great athlete, great DB, should be on the list.

bobhawk

I played with Trey, yes he was a  good D3 corner, however nowhere near as good as Tony Beckam from Stout.  And I do remember LaX throwing at him all game when Mr. Burnoski had 4td's and near 200 yards receiving..  I do not believe he belongs on the all WIAC list.

Goo 62

Some other guys to add to the list are chad nimm, thaddeus ruego, keiya square, adam whitaker, mocadlo, talton brothers, dustin powell just to name a few.

Not trying to be mean but you gotta explain the Luke Steffen at the wrong place at the wrong time thing to me.

And as for the trash talking its part of the game.  If you think players back in the day didnt talk trash you are insane.

Hey footballfan413, did you get a chance to view any of that Wabash/CWR game you found on Case TV?  If so, any thoughts (and be honest)?  I've watched the first quarter and a little of the second. Can't say that I've seen anything yet that makes me want to say WOW!, but it's still early.  What about you?

BoBo,  Just found time to look at the link as I was not able to watch anything when I posted it and, low and behold, the site seems to be devoid of the Case vs. Wabash game.  Did a search of the site and the latest game is the Widener one the week before.  I looks like somebody must have gotten to Case and had it removed.  ;D  Doesn't the tape exchange include the latest 2 or 3 games?  Seems unecessary if the Hawks have it on film anyway.

The tape exchange includes no playoff games...only regular season games according to the NCAA handbook

Well...............it is no wonder the game has been removed from the site!  If I had known that was the case, I would have sent the link to Coach L directly!    ;) :D ;D

Trey Bell is no Tony Beckham agreed, seeing that Beckham is in the pros as we speak.  But Cmon not a top WIACer.  He played in the hula bowl.  And was an All American first team.  You cant keep him out because of one game.

CaptainKurt

Anyone around when Jake Wolter was an All-Conference cornerback and safety?  I would think that he would make the All-WIAC.  He was great.

Also on that list should be Derrick Levake as an offensive linemen.  He spent a few years in the NFL, and was also an All-American as a wrestler at UWW and was an Army Ranger.  Needless to say, he stabbed people in the face whenever he felt like it, because he was that good.

All I know that after I made that comment, the Wabash smiters came out in full force after me.  I'm sure I'll have the last laugh come Saturday afternoon, though!!  Later when I have more time, I'll be more specfic with my observations.  I'm sure the LG smiters will be back in 24 hours!!

Good Point Goo..  But you were at that game, what a clinic Scotty put on for us??  Anyways, I see your point, Trey could definitely be considered.    Now, Little Giants fans..  I'm sorry.. but I have to think its going to be a blow out this Saturday at the Perk..  49-14, maybe 49-21..  It will be a fun game to watch!!

Good.  Would love to hear them.  I knew I should have made the time to watch that game.  Will try and negate some of the smiting you've experienced with a little anti-smiting.   ;)

Jake was an All Conference basketball player too.  Truely a remarkable athlete.

Jake was also one of the best kick returners I've seen, and not a bad receiver when given the chance. (heard he goes about 250 these days)

DadofBashWarrior..

Found this newspaper exerpt from a reporter at the game....it was on your UWW website....

sounds like NCC gave you a great game......

To be blunt, the Warhawks appeared on the verge of losing this game Saturday at Perkins Stadium, until quarterback Danny Jones and wide receiver Matt Gifford combined to produce the defining moment with a 70-yard touchdown pass that was so simple, it appeared as if the two were alone on a practice field.

"It was huge," said Jones, who completed 10 of 19 passes for 168 yards and two touchdowns, both to Gifford. "They had the momentum. . . . When you can make a big play like that, it kind of takes a lot out of the other team."

North Central (9-3) didn't go down for good until Whitewater (11-1) scored three touchdowns in the final 10 minutes 22 seconds, but it was the 70-yard bomb in the third quarter that allowed the Warhawks to regain control.

Whitewater will host Wabash (Ind.) College (11-1) at noon Saturday, with a berth in the national semifinals at stake.

"Momentum is huge in football," North Central coach John Thorne said. "We had it and we let it slip away."

KitchenSink

NCC gave Whitewater a great 1 1/2 quarters or so.  Outside of that, it was 56-7.

NCC actually played well ... except for the stack of big plays and pick 6's.  But those count just as much as 12 play drives to the end zone.
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

Was already gone when they came through.  If Travis Talton had not screwed up his knee in 90' against UWL  he would have had every record there is.  Basicly only played two years and still one of the top backs in WW history.

That momentum that he is referring to lasted about 14 seconds after NCC pulled to within 3 points with 9:38 left on the clock in the 3rd.  Hawks answered back with that 70 yard TD pass on first and ten with the clock at 9:24 putting the spread back to 10 points.   Don't get me wrong, it was a scary 14 seconds.   ;)
