Congratulations on the big win today. You guys are even better than advertised. While a loss like this is hard, it's necessary to learn how much more work needs to be done to be an elite team. You guys have a great program and should be proud of all you've accomplished and have yet to accomplish. Good luck next week against UMHB and beyond.

I like 42-8 - has a good sound to it...

47-7 Final
I'll pat myself on the back for that prediction.  If I could give me +k, I would without shame.  It will make up for all the smite I received from the Wabash crowd and others who may have disagreed with many of my comments this week, which BTW, were rather accurate, on the mark, and relevant (thanks retagent & +k for the use of those words).  Didn't mean to hurt anyones feelings, but we're all big boys.

+k to all WIAC posters for your words this week, too.  It appears you guys know what you are talking about, even with all the people calling you idiots, morons or any other ugly names.

I was kinda close with my predictions, but gave Wabash too much credit at a 41-17 score.  Talk about being dominated.  I am not sure they would even finish the top half of the WIAC.  I guess UWW had the best Linebacker on the field today.  I was close on the numbers for Beaver if you add the second stringer in there.  It was such a blowout they decided to save him.  Should have stayed warm at home.  UWW has got a rematch on a team that did not play to their ability in the first game.  If the game conditions ar anything lik today, it may be a score like last.

I just gave you +k too Devil Badger Gopher...I've really enjoyed your comments not just recently, but all season.  I think you were hard on the Warhawks early in the season, but as the hawks have progressed, I have sensed a change in your views.  I would totally agree about Wabash not finishing in the top half of the WIAC. If this is a measuring stick game for them, IMO they have a ways to go.
I was just listening to the Wabash post-game press conference and now I am beginning to understand the Wabash fan.  Listening to their coach, he did give WW a few props, but made it sound to me like it was a one point game:  "if we played them 10 times, they would win their share" or [paraphrasing this one] "they got nice players, but I wouldn't trade for any of them." I hope the warhawk website makes the entire interview available again because I would love to hear it again. But, on to the rematch with MHB - congrats to the Cru for taking care of Wesley.

Yeah, I wish I could -k the Wabash coach. +k's to the rest of you.
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

Just got back to my computer to catch up on all the action after I missed the entire second half.  Great win.

Any early predictions for the game next week?

Thanks Li'l Giant :)

It's awfully tough coming to THE PERK the past few years.  Things have really come together for the Hawks and who's to say it won't happen in Wabash one of these years.
You can't have everything.....Where would you put it?

Actually, dallas, I was just over on the ASC board saying this has a great story-line and the makings of an instant classic.  I suppose, many in Wisconsin feel they have a score to settle with Texas over that game last Thursday night.
You gotta like the way Danny Jones handled this game on the field and the way the coaches approached it in the game plan. They didn't let the weather conditions control they play calling.  Says a lot for how this staff as run the team this year.  And how far they have come in bringing the offense, especially, to the point of begin dominant again like the past 2 years.  It helps having the D playing the way they are, too.  The fact that the offensive coaches are taking a real proactive approach to play calling, even in the mess like today, speaks volumes about the confidence they have in a guy like Jones getting the job done.  I was very impressed with the warhawks execution today.  As for a prediction, I wouldn't even want to go there today.  I'd rather enjoy this one for 24 hours or so.

Congratulations to UW-W on a great game, fantastic season and best wishes in the remainder of the tournament.  You were clearly not just the better team today, but one of the elite teams in the country.

I certainly do not think the score will be like it was the last time we played MHB, but I think the Hawks will come out on top.  MHB is a great team and, you're absolutely right, it should be an instant classic.

What am I thinking!?!?!?!?!  forgot about this...

Additions/Subtractions to the all-time WIAC team (if they haven't already been mentioned).

Additions:
LB: Maslowski.  He wore the mohawk before it was trendy like it is now.
CB: Scott Amond.  Could cover and stick cats like Rod Woodson.
DE: Talmadge "Bing" Kimmons.  Ran the 40 barefoot.

Subtractions:
DBs: Teeples and Bell.  Always felt they were overrated.
RB: Cody Childs?

Cody Childs? I'll take a back that was all-conference twice, and second team twice... He doesn't have the rushing yardage totals as the guys who lead the pack, but he did have nearly 2,000 yards in his career.

What was impressive is that he put the ball in the end zone - he's one of the all-time leading scorers in the conference. That's pretty important, since the name of the game is to outscore your opponent, not outrush them.

And heading into this season, Childs was 7th all-time in receptions. Not just among running backs. All receivers. I guarantee Cody Childs was a concern of every defensive coordinator who had to game plan against Point during his four years there...

Was at the game today.. WOW, did we dominate those little Giants..  I knew we would win comfortably but wasn't expecting this..  I truly believe Wabash finishes near the basement in the WIAC.  How about Mr Pittz racking up more yards on the same amount of carries as the Beav.  Our O-line is so dominate, I feel we wouldn't skip a beat with either back in there..

Devil Badger Gopher

I love the "we dont give up" factor in the game. It really showed as they still did nothing at the end as the beginning.  I would love to have seen the visitors side at the game to see how quickly they left because their board gave up at halftime.
Bobo thank you for the +K today.  I really was harsh on UWW at the beginning of the season because the stats just did not do it for me and when I watched them the one game against stout, I was not terribly impressed.  I know you cannot take one game and that is the team, but that was the snapshot I got and had to go with.  I wish we could have Bethel as they are much closer and an easier draw IMO.  We will see the developments through the week for the UMHB game.  Congrats to the O-Griz for another monster today.
