WIAC board,

Some observations throughout the day on the daily dose and ASC board regarding UWW:

1) We (UWW) were lucky last time MHB was in WI because of the turnovers.
2) Weather will not be a problem next week if the conditions are bad, and will actually benefit MHB because they are a running team.
3) We, UWW fans, are cocky.

Some of you guys who like to "mix it up" a bit on these boards, get after it!!!  Be it one week or two, the season is almost over!!  It's a long spring and summer!!!

KitchenSink

Pretty dominating today at the Perk.  I just wish they could have steered that sleet in a different direction!!  (They seemed to have everything else in hand)

Voice was complimentary about the crowd, even though it wasn't big.  Ugly for spectating, and worse for driving.

Nice to see Brady Pittz get some extended PT.  Nice fresh legs - love it.
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

What am I thinking!?!?!?!?!  forgot about this...

Additions/Subtractions to the all-time WIAC team (if they haven't already been mentioned).

Additions:
LB: Maslowski.  He wore the mohawk before it was trendy like it is now.
CB: Scott Amond.  Could cover and stick cats like Rod Woodson.
DE: Talmadge "Bing" Kimmons.  Ran the 40 barefoot.

Subtractions:
DBs: Teeples and Bell.  Always felt they were overrated.
RB: Cody Childs?

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion I guess, not all of them are very educated. I know that ww spent our week worrying if Cody was going to break our back. He was a pretty good counter to their passing game.

Teeples had some really good games as his career went on. I know he did really well on certain plays against Derek Stanley. He is not going to win every time against a guy like that, he is NFL talent.

And Trey Bell, I don't know what the OC's were thinking when they played him. But you cant name one receiver in his last two maybe three years other then Scott B of lacrosse his SR year. That had more then 2 catches on him in any confrence game, check the game film, the eye in the sky doesn't lie. If I am wrong, which I could be. There is always one or two games we forget, let me know I will apologize to that WR. And I thought my brother was forgotten, thanks Old School lol.

The Little Giants will have more fan support and more spirit than any visiting team you have seen in a long time, that's for sure.

You do know that SJU has played at UWW the past two years?  I would be impressed if the LG's fans could outnumber/out-spirit the Johnnie fan base.

First, Congrats on to the Warhawks on another impressive home stomping.

Second, with only 2,300-ish in attendance today I wonder if usee's statement held up that the LG's brought more fan support to Perkins than others have in a "long time".

three3's,

Is that Linfield hoodie still holding up?  ;)

No...North Central had more last week...but I am sure weather was a factor...hell, I only came from Madison and barely made it back home after the game  ;)

Come on now, three threes.  I mostly hate steeples anyway.

I deleted everything I was going to write because I didn't want to write something too inflammatory as it is obvious you have severe psychological issues.  If I still feel the same way in the morning, I'm gonna cut your f*%$ing head off... or "mix it up" as it was so eloquently put.

Get some,

Old School.

dallas, that one guy in the daily dose comes off as a real dope.  Hope he comes over here for a little wrangling.  However, I've noticed most of those making fools out of themselves and/or the team they follow on the DD don't show face the the regular boards for obvious reasons.

Yes, nice game by Brady...he gets my "never give up" offensive game ball for the Warhawks...kept his legs churning for at least a couple of first downs with Wabash players draped all over him

And Gabe Schultz wins my "little giant" (as Voice was calling him on the radio broadcast) defensive gameball for the Hawks....had the interception and knocked down several passes despite his diminutive stature

Goo 62

WOW, talk about bellying up.  Wabash did not come to play at all.  From the get go it was a domination.  I saw it with my own eyes. You better not blame the weather either. Because Beaver and the Oline dominated.  Danny Jones played great and the defense was everywhere.

Not to get to the negatives #40 from Wabash couldnt crack the lineup at UWW and thats a fact.  The infamous passing game, HAHAHAHA.
I will say you traveled well but you probably should of stayed home instead.

MHB on the way, oh well lets make it 2 times, like we did to LAX last year.
I bet you Johnny fans are happy to see Bethel win, makes your loss not look as bad.

Kinda interesting that MHB fans talk about UWW fans being overconfident and they are mouthing off on their board...

badgerwarhawk

That was easier than I expected.  Wabash was North Central without a quarterback who could run and was forced to play in conditions that made what they could do near impossible.  I understand their starting QB came down with the flu and was unable to play.  That was a bad break for them.  I don't know if he'd have made any difference.  I'm sure they would have been better offensively under normal conditions but defensively they couldn't stop our running game and had none themselves.  The end result was a foregone conclusion very early in the contest.

That was one hell of a motorhome Wasbash brought to the game though.  It must have run $250,000 or better.  I wasn't inside but it looked all decked out.  What a great set of wheels to tailgate with.   There was a big crowd of them there too.

I noticed a lot of people on both sides of the field leaving at the half.  Given the blizzard like conditions and what was going on down on the field I can't say I blame them.

Thinking of a rematch with MHB makes me think back to LaCrosse last year.  I don't think it's going to be as easy this time.

Just got back to Indy from Whitewater... I want to congratulate you guys on a great game. You earned it. Everyone I met there was very respectful, and I had a fun time despite the outcome. (And the horrendous drive home)

Best luck in the next week or 2... Go win it all!

The linfield sweatshirt is in great condition thank you..... :P glad to see you still cheering for d3 ball.
Old School G you are a funny guy, guess i shouldnt take your comments seriously.

I'm a UMHB fan and we certainly don't have any reason to expect an easy game.  UMHB has a tall task this week.  I don't expect the game to be like the one earlier this year.  UWW is too good for UMHB fans to be mouthing off.  Turnovers killed any chance UMHB had in the first game.  I expect turnovers will be the key this week.  It should be a great game between 2 very good teams.  Thankfully, it will be available to watch over the internet.

Congrats to UWW.  I'm pretty sure you guys will see Mount in VA, and at very least give them a heck of a game.  Best of luck...it'd be a very purple affair.

Between the game and the drive home (trip up= 5.5 hours, trip back= 10 hours), yesterday was one of the crappiest half-days I've had in recent memory.  The first half, with the tailgating and meeting a lot of your fans was pretty great.  I guess the anonymity of the internet can be blamed for some of the comments on the boards as all the Hawks fans we met in person were friendly and classy.  Hopefully they felt the same about the Bash fans they met.

Also, in the same vein, I'd like to point out that I don't think any of the Bash fans left after halftime.  The stands emptied and people began to relocate to the railing behind the stands by the concession stand because it was far less treacherous than climbing those metal steps covered in ice.  Thank you, though, for actually having visitor stands.  Those seem to be nigh unto extinct anymore in D3 stadiums.

Now, does anyone know a defunct ski resort that'd sell us some snow machines on the cheap?  We've got some practicing to do for next year...hope to see you again around this time for another shot.
