OK, OK, Salem, Don't inhale' em.
Hey! That's it! Salem East one year and Salem West....

Ah, I'll be up earlier than a hungry robin on Saturday to see the Clash of the Tritons.
No injuries.
Those who get to travel be safe.......and sane.

Thanks for the correction, Stealth.  It's a good thing that God can figure these things out.

Sakman, know that you are in my prayers.

Wouldn't it make sense to keep the Stagg within driving distance of the vast majority of D3 schools?  And since the majority of D3 is located in the Great Lakes and Eastern US regions, wouldn't it make sense to keep the title game there?

As a MUC fan, I would love to see the Stagg played in perfect conditions because adverse weather has been a factor in numerous of their Stagg games, but there's no way the fan attendance from Alliance would be the same if the game was in CA or FLA.

If you want to talk about a better location than Salem VA, how about the perfect stadium that sits right next to the Pro Football Hall of Fame?

Besides, if you're going to put the game there, why not just move it 20 minutes to the East on 62?  I like your thinking!   ;)

Then you might fill the seats!

Filling Fawcett Stadium would be a bigger challenge since it is a 20,000 seater compared to MUC s 6,000 seats. But oh what a glorious thing it would be to see D3 fans filling it up on ESPN. The Stagg Bowl wouldnt suffer any in my opinion. Still, those Virginians ARE great hosts! ;)

I meant the stadium on Mount Union's campus might be filled.

I love you MUC guys, I really do.  You're just too easy, but, I was really hoping for more hatred.  I even gave you a couple of days.  You've gone soft.

I hate explaining a post, but, at the very least you have admit the skill guys have benefited greatly from short fields and huge holes throughout the years.

It's just my opinion, and if you don't like then screw.

Any discussion about who the weather favors and why ?  I'd say WW.

I'm not necessarily sure it favors Whitewater, but they did show last week that they can play in less than ideal conditions.  If the ball starts getting slick, pushing team to the run, I have a feeling that may favor the Raiders.  Yes your back is a stud, but Mount Union's D-line has been having a fantastic year.  Beavers will still get some yards against Mount Union, but I'm not sure that it will be enough to top over Mount Union.  The wild card for me, is how well the Raiders O-line does against the Warhawks D-line.  From all accounts, UWW will be the best defense MUC has seen this year.  Will our guys be able to open holes for Kmic?  I sure hope so!

???  ::)
jaypeter - I know this has been mentioned to you before on this board because I remember reading it, but since you don't seem to heed the advice, I'll give it to you one more time...Whitewater has a guy named Justin Beaver (see? no "s" at the end).  He's a running back you may have heard about in the news, this week especially.  There's a WR at Wesley named Beavers, but you haven't really heard anything about him this week. Time to wake up and smell the coffee, don't you think?  It's difficult to take anything you write seriously when you can't even get that simply fact correct.  Your attention to detail requires a little practice.

sakman, my family is very sorry to hear the sad news you reported earlier.  We lost two family member 5 years ago at this time, so I know first hand how difficult it can be losing someone around the holidays.  Our prayers go out to you and your family in this time of sorrow.

He doesn't...look pal, it's not ok to continually mispell a persons name and it doesn't make it right because you say we know what he means.  If people here did the same about your guys, like Costelnick, or Garsone, or Kamick, you would be up in arms.  Maybe I was a little rough on the poor guy. Well known scholar and intellectual Mary Claire van Leunen has this to say about spelling, in her famous book A Handbook for Scholars:

"From what I understand, spelling ability correlates with nothing--not with intelligence, not with verbal ability, not with age (after childhood), not with eye color, left-handedness, cyclothymia, blood type, structure boundedness, authoritarian impulses, sex, race, religion, national origin, or any other measure the testers can develop. Some people spell well, some people don't, and that's all there is to it. If by the time you're twleve or thirteen you don't spell well, you probably never will, and you should plan your life accordingly. I know what I'm talking about--I have already had to look up how to spell two words in this paragraph."

Moral of the story: it seems that those who loathe bad spellers (as I'm sometimes known to do) ought to be a little more sympathetic. We all have our weaknesses. I teach the chidlren in my classroom to learn from their mistakes, especially in spelling.  He needs to do the same..

If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

New to the board, just wanted to wish Whitewater the best of luck and bring home the title for the WIAC. I may have went to La Crosse but come playoff time it's all WIAC for me. If Whitewater can control the time of possession and keep Mount's offense to around 17 points I think they can win it.

Gave you a bit of +k luvin', uwlaxalum, as I thought it was a bit unfair that you got pinged for basically saying hello and wishing UWW luck.

(ps - it was retegant, a Johnnie, that came to your rescue.)

Thanks man. I like the way warhawk 96 had to throw in the lax/ww game and the very...very forgetable 4th quarter by my eagles.

You know what I have tried to wrap my head around this and I still can not.  Why do people get so nit picky about spelling on this board.  If you can understand what the person is saying who cares.  Now BOBO I will agree with you regarding the spelling of an individuals name.  That is something that might want to be considered.  But remember I before E except after C is recockulas.

I just like a guy on the So Cal page said.  Hes an investment banker making 6 figures a year and spells horrible.  He appologized and explained why he spells bad.  Atleast attack the validity of posts rather than the spelling mistakes.  All that says is that you have nothing better to pick apart or  you can not find any weakness in the argument.

So now after saying that...Go ahead and tear apart my post and try to make me run and hide.  I am a horrible speller but even the Johnnies will atleast acknowledge I exists and that is all I need in my book.  Wisconsin does two things great.  Making cheese and making Beer.  Two things I love to consume.  Keep up the good work.
