Great job, UWW.  Game of a lifetime from Beaver.  Great fun to listen to.

Great win Warhawks... I'm so happy I'm speechless

Congrats to UWW.  They proved what all the "naysayers" said couldn't be done (or at least those who only gave them a 20% chance of winning the Stagg).  UWW did what most teams fail to do i.e. make first downs to control the ball in the last 3 minutes or so of a game to preserve a win.  Great determination.  Again, this just proves that anything can happen.  To all you UWW fans, enjoy!!

Congrats to UWW and the WIAC.  Very impressed with the D, the O-line, Jones, and, of course, Beaver.  Great team win.

Mr. Ypsi

Congrats to UWW!  While I picked UWW in the OAC pickems, I confess that it was to beat the spread, not actually win the game!

Beaver was unstoppable today - any interest shown by the guys who play on Sunday?

Speaking for all the of the BlueDevils, great job Warhawks!

You did the WIAC proud!

I am especially happy for my buddies, footballfan413 and janesvilleflash. I am so happy for you.  :)

This morning in my office, my good friend Mark Thomas who is the winningest coach in WIAC women's basketball history and coach of the 3 time-in-a-row conference champion basketball team, and also the BlueDevils linebacker coach, told me Whitewater would win.

I said, "Really? I've heard this is the best Mount Union team yet."

He just said, "I don't care. Whitewater is that good."

My wife only watched the last 2 minutes of the game. I told her the story of Mr. Beaver and put it into context with what MUC has accomplished this year. She hates football. She cried anyway. She watched MUC's assistant coach act like a child and then cheered when WW wrapped it up. Thanks for this moment... even though I can't stand the fact you beat TCNJ for the national basketball championship in '89!

From the OAC a hearty congratulations to the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater after their incredible performance today in Salem.  I stated on the OAC board that I never quite bought into Beaver but he played like a Gags winner and more importantly like a champion today.  The Warhawks played their hearts out and proved they wanted it more today.  UWW didn't back down and deserved the Walnut and Bronze for their efforts today.  Enjoy the hardware and good luck in 2008!

Congrats to the WIAC, the West Region (by way of the North Region) and congrats to the Warhawks on playing their hearts out today and getting it done.  It was a great way to end the Division III season and a great game to watch as a DIII fan.

Just listening to the Warhawk post-game press conference, I think it was Coach Leipold who said Beaver has been playing the past few weeks with broken ribs.  Just might add more to his story.

What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!
