D3Banner;

Could someone explain to me what the photo on the far right of the homepage banner is?  Was Ryan Coleman trying to be creative peering through the yard marker while capturing some kind of apparition that was appearing before him?

Hit refresh, that's gone.

Ryan posted a new banner without getting it signed off by the publisher.

Got it!

How dare he???????  Immediate execution is in order for this transgression.

Here is the deal for all you road scholars.

I haven't finished reading to the end of his post and I can't help but mention this.  Rhodes Scholar, indeed.  I hadn't heard of the Road Scholarship, but I guess Goo won it.

Several years ago a good chunk of the UW-Stout players were "Cardboard Packaging" majors...true story 8) 8)

I understand that BlueDevil Bob hires them straight outta Stout to flatten and organize the copious amounts of Cardboard that accumulates at his stores...

Why doesn't it surprise me that Goo can't seem to find the words to express himself.

Also, I noticed that there were 4 MIAC teams getting votes in the final d3football.com poll, as opposed to 3 WIAC teams. Who has the better conference, top to bottom now? I've seen posters here say that the conference was tougher this year than in other years. I, on the other hand, thought the WIAC had an off year, as a whole. I know, Iknow. UWW won it all, but that doesn't negate my observation.

retagent - I noticed the 4-to-3 ratio when I posted a simple congrats note on the Whitewater, er, I mean Wisconsin Intertcollegiate Athletic Conference board about UWEC's Blugolds for finishing 12th in the final poll... I got smited for it. Ha.

Wonder how a UWEC/SJU game would have turned out this year??? Some good battles the last few seasons...

Since Eau Claire nearly beat Bethel with a depleted, wounded roster, either UWEC's rated way to low or Bethel is way too high. Just wondering what the Blugolds might have accomplished had they had a QB at the end?  Here's some +k as a replacement.

The more I think about who really cares about the all american team. Let Mount union's two deep be on it for all I care. The Warhawks won the Stagg bowl, have the best football player in division three, and are national champions in football for the first time in school history. So the rest of it is all happy Horse sh@t.
The warhawks won the most important thing which is the stagg bowl and they did it depsite the fact that half of D3 football figured they wouldn't

Another true story.  One of my all time favorite player interviews was with a Stout player several years ago.  When I noticed his major was "Packaging", I asked him what he planned on doing with his degree when he graduated.  He replied, "Package, I guess."

dawarhawksrock - I need a few more posts before I can +k.

But your last comment - spot on.  I'll owe you one.

Let's just enjoy the Walnut and Bronze, people.  We know we had a terrific team of guys - Yeah, some immensely talented guys.  But I'm just as glad guys like Brady Pittz and Josh Jackson will get some hardware - championship rings.   The rest is just an extra cherry on top of a few sundaes.
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

Well, I've been away from the computer since Friday.  I managed to catch the first half of the Stagg.  I just wanted to congratulate the Warhawks (write this down on your calendars!).  I never would've imagined this outcome after the loss to SCSU!

The Warhawks looked good.  They kept MUC out of their game.

Congratulations again.  We'll be gunning for UWW in 2008 ;)

I just heard WW won the Stagg. Way to go! Did any WW players make All American team?
