If you want to promote division 3 sports, do a google search for pontiac game changing performance and vote for the only d3 play that will likely be seen there for a long time.  We only have a few days left and Appalachain State is currently in the lead.

A vote for Trinity is a vote for d3football.

Oh wait, that was Mack Brown's stepson. Do you think he'll get a divorce? I hear football is pretty important in Texas.

Was that unbelievable, or what?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Imagine if that had changed the outcome of that game!!!!

That Capital coach was a real class act.  Glad to see he got a job at a pretty decent Division II college.  I hear Warhawks are bringing in some pretty good recruits!!  WIAC be ready....Mt. Union the dynasty is going to fall ;)

I am glad to here that the Hawks are pulling in some great recruits, and hopfully even better students to UWW. It will be interesting to see how they do next year as they know have a huge target on their back,as it's not just beating the WIAC three time defending champs, but the defending champs.
As far as the Purple Raiders dynasty falling. I am not too sure about that. They have been on top for a long time since 1993 when they started making a annual or semi annual appearance in the stag bowl, I think it's 9 out of 11 trips where they have won. I might be wrong. Whitewater has had an impressive run with three straight, and even cooler was they won it in their head coaches first season. Some coaches work forever to get there and nver do much less win it. Know what does LL fo for a oncore performance?? Hopfully start a dynasty of his own where they go 11 more times and win eight of them.

I'm also not convinced that MUC will fall - they usually manage to reload pretty well.  They do graduate a big chunk of their starters (as does UWW), so who knows.

The keys for UWW are O-line and D-secondary.  Oh, and we need to replace that one RB, what was his name again?  :P

Hopefully Donovan has served a strong apprenticeship and is ready to start taking snaps.  If Josh Jackson comes back strong, the front 7 on D will be in good shape.  All of the WR's come back except Mrkvicka (and Moore, who got a few snaps) - Rusch and Gifford and Slupski/Novak should be solid.

Gotta like hearing optimistic reports on the recruiting front ... keep 'em coming.
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

You mean Beavers?  Oh, wait, that was another team.  I have no idea who you're talking about! ;D

The recruiting net just got much wider. Leipold and coachs will have a huge talent pool to pick from and build on the already deep one in place.  Rumor has it that some more west coasters are looking to play in the snow  ;D
Going to the big dance 3 years in a row, winning 1 out of 3, the entire D unit, Beavers/O line amazing 4 year accomplishments and Jones coming from Cal. to play at that level opened the door on a national level. I have seen D3 football from a number of different angles and there is a huge buzz in the D3 world about what has been achieved.  Winning breeds winning thus the MUC run. Warhawks are now mentioned in the same breath with them. MHB and a couple of others not far behind.

Buzz on NCAC board on Wabash HC postion. Only reason I drug it over here is that Coach Z's name is on one posters short list. Lot's of BS on something like this but what the hell. It's getting boring this time of year. Remember I didn't start this just copy and pasted.

Here is my Short List of People Wabash should go after

1. Mike Leonard (Franklin) has IN recruiting/coaching/playing ties
2. Chris Wiesehan (OL Syracuse) he is a Wabash Man
3. Jim Collins (Capital) proven he can beat Wittenburg, would probably like to get alway from Mount Union
4. Greg Debeljak (Case) coming off an 11-1 year with his only loss to Wabash
5. Eric Koehler (Wartburg) 16-4 in his 1st 2 season as a HC has IN recruiting/Coaching/Playing ties
6. Mike Sirianni (W&J) has done a great job, is young, and a D3 guy!
7. Brain Ward (McPherson) Strong Wabash tied under CC and a GREAT Recruiter
8. Jim Zebrowski (OC UW Whitewater) Has been a Head Coach at Lakeland with a 24-4 record in League Play
9. Pedro Arruza (Randy- Mac) Played at Wheaton coach at Wash U so has mid-west ties
10. B.J. Hammer (Whitter) a little too young but a Wabash Man

Yeah, he should send ASU a thank you note for leaving their football team back in Arizona.

I wouldn't be surprised if you start hearing some of Whitewater's assistant coahces get mentioned for jobs such as coach Zebrowski. Thats what success does it leads to promotions coordinators to head coaches, position coaches to coordinators. If it doesn't happen, then it has to make you wonder what is wrong. However I believe it will, as all the full time staffers at UWW seem like down to earth level headed team player type guys.
I don't know if he would leave after just one year. However he has won the big one national title ,and know as the OC of a record breaking offense that will get his named noticed. As much as I would like to say the Hawks will repeat next year it will be tough to do,as they need to find a lot of replacements for key compenents of both the offense and defense.

That sounds familiar. At this point though, after overcoming all of the reasons why they shouldn't repeat this year, I wouldn't put ANYTHING past them.

Last year at this time it was more about who wasn't named head coach. Yes I know they lost two players to the NFL an conference offensive player of the year, and a defensive player of the year. However they returned all but one O-Line man and still had Beaver.
This year they lose a majority of there defense, 3 or 4 offensive lineman,Beaver and the a QB who was pretty darn good.
I know tbe championship appearances will help recruiting and thats huge in division three however. Will they be able to develop another, Jones,Beaver,Grizz and Schultz is the question.
We will find out come next August it should be an interesting month of spring practice, to see what changes the coaches make scheme wise and if any assistant coaches leave for other jobs which is a true sign of success, and that people are taking notice of the program, and the success that they have had.

Voice announced on tonight's basketball broadcast that Justin Beaver MIGHT be invited to go to the Hula Bowl.

BoBo

Hula Bowl rosters are posted on their website.  No Beaver listed, so if selected, might be as an injury replacement...just my guess.  It would still be a pretty nice additional honor, though.
