So who is going to be Whitewaters QB next season?

And who is going to pick the starting QB?  ;)

I nominate a committe of badgerwarhawk, footballfan413, and janesvilleflash!! kubiack78 can be first alternate.  Any other nominations?  We'll vote on it in one week.

Well, thank you, BoBo.  I accept the nomination and if BW and JF do so as well, and we are elected, then I predict we will need to spend long exhaustive hours pouring over our options and hashing out our final choice over some cold ones at a local establishment!   ;)

Two Things---

First, I think it would be interesting to know how many returning starters there are for each team next on O and D.

Second, Any news about Stan Z. finding a coaching position?

River Falls-Offense-6 returners-lost 4 olineman and Tailback (Big Losses)
                 Defense-2-3 returners - ouch

Kira & Jaxon's Dad

Didn't Stan Z take a HS AD job in WI somewhere?

He had a coaching job in the WIAC and then left for the AD position if my memory is correct.

WW returns 4 on O, one each of: OL, TE, FB, WR. On D they return 4: 1LB & 3DL. Plus the Kicker is back.  Others have played extensively but there certainly isn't a lot of meaningful game experience.

It will be a real rebuilding process but the Warhawks have a tremendous amount of talent in their program right now. They did it last year and they have the talent to do it again.A few transfers would also help...........A concern right now would be replacing assistant coaches hopefully they won't lose too many....

Stoutguy that was fun couple of days ! So now I add misinformed or s___ disturber to the list.  :o Man we were all over the map on this one.  Love him, hate him, throw him under the bus on the way out of town, etc.  :-\
Apology accepted on behalf of the Warhawk Nation.
Hey I heard that Coach so and so applied to be the next head coach at so and so. Fill in the blanks so we can continue the fun and games.
Packers beat the Giants, Pats roll the Chargers. Pats are champs again, Brady dumps one then gets another super model almost matching his super bowl ring count  and the Warhawks continue the WIAC beat downs in 08.

So, Whitewater, I hear that your coach has applied at Mankato.  What do you think?

It will be tougher for the Hawks next season as 17 of the 23 seniors were starters.  But hopefully, with the national play-off runs of the last three years, it will be more of a reloading situation rather than rebuilding.

There is allot to be said about the mentality of being in a winning program. The back ups last year witnessed hard work dedication and the flat out will to win. That goes allot farther than people think in staying at that level. MUC, SJU are two examples and now UWW can get in that mix. 3 years in the big show breed the winning spirit. quote author=footballfan413 link=topic=3741.msg848314#msg848314 date=1200432248]

There are guys like Aaron Rusch who started a bunch of games while Gifford was out, and Josh Jackson who was playing a bunch at LB till he got hurt.  They aren't considered starters, but in some ways were right with last year's 1st string.  And Robert Gilbreath came in at Salem and was really knocking guys around at OT, Troney Schumpert at nickel.
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

Using the Open Dates you have published here is my suggestion for the Warhawks....9/6 Mary Hardin Baylor   9/13 North Central   9/20 Concordia .....now Plinske.L.L. and these teams have to agree....Would be great to build a rivalry with MHB AND the other two are 2 hour bus rides.....I realize there is more to it than that but it would be a great schedule leading into league play......

No more references to Minnesota schools!

Well, except St John's, in our usual flattering manner.    8)

MSU announced the four finalists for the head coaching job today.

I thought Hoffner did a pretty good job at EC.  They had some pretty decent teams during his tenure.

Another interesting name was Jim Williams who having worked at Nebraska-Omaha would obviously know Coach Liepold well.
