Just give him the ammount of posts required for karma, and let it go. No one cares about total anyway. Guy has to have something to do while in the desert protecting rich people. It's called winging it.
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

Kubiac, if that doesn't work, just pm me who you want to karmalize, and I'll do it for you.

Pat, I knew you were going to say that ...   8)

And what am I thinking now? :)

Pat, that's easy.  You were thinking "How could so humble a man be so blessed with insight?"  Then you proceeded to think about trying out for American Idol.  Then, after a few fleeting moments thinking about this weekends slate of basketball, you wanted to remind Keith that we're all waiting on Part 3 of the Year in Review.

Then you thought about ... was that Jessica Alba?  Tsk, tsk, .....  Now go get that latte you were considering.
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

Sink - Good posts (for a WIAC guy)

I wouldn't be so quick to denegrate the St Thomas job. Although everyone knows we Johnnies hate the Tommies, I'm forced to speak some truth. St Thomas is a fine school situated in a fine metropolitan area. They have plenty of money to spread around. It has been in the past a decent football school, and because of it's drawing power, has the ability to again rise to prominance with the right coach/recruiter. If someone is capable of doing that, he would probably be looked at favorably to move up to a more prestigeous post. How can you stay in Whitewater once you've seen the bright lights of Minneapolis/St Paul?

After speaking with a close friend who played in the MIAC, I did not realize how coveted the UST job was, and the money they posses to win a national title.  I am not going to say there is a new sheriff in town in the MIAC, but good things might be coming to this program.

UST's basketball teams currently lead the MIAC in both the men's and women's divisions. Their softball coach has been in the playoffs too many times to count and the baseball team is a recognized national power.  This week an anonymous donor gifted UST $50 million (maybe Best Buy's Schultz again??).  I also recall UST journeying to UWW in a playoff game about 15 years ago and putting a beat down on the Warhawks   All of this points to "sleeping giant" in football if the right coach is now in place.

The recent hirings have other possible serendipitous (love that word) implications:  (1) St. Olaf will now have to go deeper into Florida for recruits; (2) UWEC's forays into the Metro's white collar suburbs will meet more resistance with Caruso on the scene; and  (3) the four WIAC schools in west-central WI may be left in a recruiting desert with Caruso, Todd Hoffner, Bob Nielsen, and Mike Durnin all highly familiar and well-connected in the area.

Even if UWEC falls on its face, 2008 should be interesting for their fans nevertheless  with ex-coaches Nielsen and Hoffner going head-to-head in the NSIC and Caruso having another go at the Johnnies.

Just read the below mentioned article and was a little disappointed Jones wasn't mentioned. Danny is 60th on the draft board for QB's out of the top 110 in the nation (all divisions). Pro day will tell how far up or down they go. I do understand that they are working real hard together right now to at least stay in shape. As soon as any of you hear the pro date at Madison let us know.

One thing to remember is that Raebel is listed on this site as an ILB while actually playing OLB for the last 4 years at Whitewater.  Don't know why except it may be strictly because of his size on paper.  But with his speed at that size, he could be looked at by a team as a very versatile LB with the ability to play either.  I had this discussion with a poster on the, "D-III players to pros,"  thread on the General Football link.  Odds of being drafted will never be with a DIII guy but it can still happen as Stanley and Allen proved.  According to a new article on www.warhawkfootball.com, Stanley was only ranked 64th before the draft last year.  Raebel probably won't get drafted but his rise on the site indicates that he is catching someones attention and it is just the beginning of this pre-draft season.  A lot can happen and there are several ways into the NFL besides thru the draft as Schmitt showed.
