I take things to literal sometimes. It's a M.I.T. grad thing... But it was an interesting discovery that there is an A55.

He would have really been bragging had he told you The A55 partly follows the alignment of the Roman road from Chester (Deva) to Caernarfon (Segontium), particularly from Junction 31 to 30 and Junction 13 to 12.  Now, wouldn't that have been something!!

kirasdad,
Only bragging comes as a result of the Warhawks claiming their due rights as national champions over your beloved MUC black and blue Raiders.  The rest is all fluff. 8)

There's only one way to find out if a man is honest...ask him. If he says 'yes,' you know he is a crook.

Anybody at UWW get a chance to see the fellows working out indoors ? Just curious as to how they are preparing for Pro Day at Madison and how does having Stanley and Schmidt there help ? Raebel covering Schmidt in patterns, Jones throwing to Stanley or Schmidt and Farley in coverage, Beaver keeping the legs in playing shape. Things like that. Always interested to hear how they are trying to stay in tune for the big chances coming up.

No takers on this topic ? I'd  think that bagerwarhawk or bobo has some insight. Also curious how the recruiting is going. Did all the LL and JZ talk of moving on have an effect on the prospects ?

Well, there seems to a nice start to the list of UWW recruits - if you base it on the commitments list over at wissports.net.  A bunch of OL's and others.  Even looks like Tristan Borzick's little bro.
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

I don't think any of these guys ae going to be taking part in the pro day up in Madison, as there is a NFL rule that your hometown has to be 30 miles from the city where the pro day is taking place. I know Derek Stanley and Pete Schmidt was able to do that because there home towns are near Madison. I know this was a factor with Trey Bell a couple years ago.

I may be way off the beaten trail here da'rock, but didn't a couple guys from Stout (Ryan E. and Wendt) attend that Pro Day in Madison last year?...or did they attend the combine-like workout for some pro scouts (hate to call it a Pro Day, but maybe it was) in Whitewater?...seem to remember they posted some good times/reps, etc. wherever it was...bottomline, Stout is quite a way north of that 30 mile distance...I question that 30 mile distance as a prerequisite.  I would think that each university schedules Pro Days for athletes at their school with the thinking that not all their players get an invite to the NFL Combine and these players feel more comfortable at their own campus than they do at the NFL Combine or another school, for example, and therefore should perform better when their turn comes up. IMO the schools are under no obligation to invite anybody else...I think we beat that horse into submission last year...are there guidelines for Pro Days published anywhere that lists that 30 mile distance?

There is absolutely no rule that you have to live 30 miles from that city to have a pro-day there.  Good try though!!  There is going to be a WIAC pro day after the pro day that Detman (Madison's pro day) runs in the afternoon.  Beaver has been clocked running a sub 4.5 already and Raebel ran a high 4.5 last week.  If they can keep those marks especially Raebel...look out!!  Beaver is a test out freak so there is nothing to worry about there.  Raebel is already put on about 15 pounds and we all know his potential, with some great numbers there could be another Warhawk drafted!!

I usually read this board but don't add anything. However I can give you some insight here......Beaver, Raebel and Ramseier are working out up in Waukesha at NX Level with Brad Arnett (sp?). And, yes the pro day will be here at Whitewater the same afternoon as Madison's, just to streamline it a bit for the scouts. I don't know anyone from the team for sure other than those three who will participate in pro-day. So, Farley could participate, I just haven't heard on who all is participating in that.

Good luck to Beav, A.J., and Brady....Champs, please let me know how it goes.....Great time in ChiTown this weekend. It took an old guy like me 2 days to recover ....You and 68 are true karaoke all-stars....Screw Journey!!!!.........

My understanding is that the WIAC Pro Day will be by invitation only.

No problem with big heads, just thought that I hadn't heard of many coaches jumping from DIII directly to the NFL, let alone based on Stagg Bowl Victories.

Well, there you go........DIII coach to the NFL!  Apparently it can happen.   ;)
