Who is going to the "WIAC PRO DAY".....?

Beaver, Jones, Brady R, Farley and Raeble (sp?).   Don't quote me though

Besides the WW guys, any insight/speculation from the board who else might be invited to the WIAC Pro Day in Madison? Moriarity, for example?

Any word on a new OC at UWO since Rethman is gone?
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

Bobo's penguins should apply. Coach Z's name has been mentioned for everything open more times than Kenworth at a truckers convention so let's not go there on this one please.  ;)

There's only one way to find out if a man is honest...ask him. If he says 'yes,' you know he is a crook.

stealth, I talked to the Penguins and they said they would only pursue a coaching position at Youngstown State should an opportunity become available. When questioned why Youngstown State, they only  ;) at me. They have their reasons, I guess. They did, however, have quite a chuckle when told of your suggestion...they felt honored, but quickly stated they have no interest in applying or interviewing for the Oshkosh OC position...sorry.  ;D

Gotta love free agency hold outs.

A little love going out towards the UW-Whitewater athletic department from the Wisconsin State Journal over the recent high-profile sports success.

Some interesting NFL Combine news...Garcon posted 5, top 10 times/distances for WR's.  Appears the Vikings see something in his character that a lot of contributors on this board don't:

"Another aspect to the scouting report on Garcon that makes him a viable prospect on the Vikings' draft board is his character, an area where he will get high marks.  Garcon is mature, humble, well-grounded young man with solid values and character."

Considering some of the comments made on here a few weeks ago, that statement may be a tad bit perplexing to many.  :-\

I read that too.  Maybe he is a bit more humble in person than he exhibits on the field.  I've never met the young man so I don't have any inside information.

Anybody for a houseboat party?  I'll bring the girls.  :D

retagent

Unlikely as it might seem, instances of differing personalities on and off the field are plentiful, notwithstanding Bobby Knight. Nine times suspended hockey player Chris Simon is another blatant example. I've met the guy and he is gracious in person, and just about everyone who has contact with him, says the same, and just wish he would get his game conduct under control. I don't know if Garcon is in this category, but it's possible. I have some empathy since I can get a little heated in the battle, but am a pussycat away from the fray. ;)

It's amazing how some fast times can create character.....Garcon is a perfect fit for the Vikings. At least in the pros pouting is acceptable for wide receivers on the sidelines and he won't be expected to shake hands after the game....

I like the majority of the psoters on here do not know Mr. Garcone. However I am sure that we would all be a little cocky on the football field if I was playing a team for the third time which I have made my person whipping boys the previous two years.
It's not really arrogance, or being cocky or even being over confident. Its called beng a national champion two times in a row and knowing what happen the previous two years could happen again playing the same team.
Whitewater got the better of them one out fo three times. I would go 2 for 3 any time, when a natinal title is on the line. Hey he could do worse and have the Bears be interested in him.

Garcon can hang with Brian McKinnie (a Viking full of character) once he makes bail.....
