And to think there were many who said he was too small to player center in this league.  Congrats, Brent, it's an honor well deserved.

They obviously weren't looking at the size of his heart!  That can never be measured.  A huge congratulations, Brent! You are the best! Also, congrats to all of this years Warhawk scholar-athletes!  Very impressive!

Greetings to the D-III World.  Big news in the land of the Captain.

After the Gilbert Brown firing, I was able to elevate my coaching game and crack the professional ranks with the Milwaukee Bonecrushers.  What started strictly as a defensive backs coaching position has elevated into defensive coordinator responsibilities for the remainder of the season.

Starting next weekend (when the roster opens up and we can make changes with additions/subtractions), I encourage a lot of guys who read this board (and have no NCAA eligibility remaining) to consider an opportunity with the Bonecrushers.

*Get paid, contracts negotiable, deal directly with me
*Just like a part-time job: two practices per week, two hours each, practice at US Cellular Arena in downtown Milwaukee, one game per weekend
*25 man weekly active roster, 21 suit up for each game
*Nine games remaining in CIFL schedule

Jim Leszczynski is currently on the roster, and I am looking to add as many WIAC graduates throughout the remainder of the season as I can.  UW-Oshkosh and UW-Whitewater current graduating seniors....if interested....please contact me at 414-333-1402.  You guys would make the most sense since the drive to Milwaukee is do-able from where you are.

Good luck, coach.

That's a fun game to watch.  And the Cell is a great place to see a game.
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

Just read on the MIAC board about the incident at Stout where protesters from a Kansas church showed up on campus to blame the 3 students killed in a house fire recently on God's punishment for their sins.  I can't imagine the additional pain something like that inflicts on the victim's families!   The UW-ST students did not tolerate it.  These people are twisted!  Thought I would bring it here.

Bonecrushers, Wolfpack, Outlaws.....I'm getting confused. Anyway, best of luck with the latest venture. Will definately try to make a game or two.
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

That video made me want to puke. Those signs were the the most offensive pieces of trash you could imagine. It's hard to believe that people can be so filled with hate, but to parade their sickness on a college campus where three young people have died is beyond all comprehension. We know which ones will rot in hell.

Again, my deepest condolences to the Stout family.

Interesting NFL draft article on www.jsonline.com.
I was surprised to see Justin Beaver listed with the wrong height and weight. JSONLINE listed him as 5-7, 191.  At the March 5th Pro Day he participated in, his official height and weight was listed as 5-8, 196.  Not a biggie, but somewhat relevant.   According to a number of scouting reports... New England, Indianapolis, Green Bay, Buffalo, Kansas City and St. Louis are showing interest in Beaver.  Also his Pro Day numbers would have slotted him in the top-10 running backs that were invited to participate in the NFL Combine in Indianapolis. All that considered his stock is high as a small college prospect and I won't be surprised if a team would take him as a late-round selection - much like Derek Stanley last year with the Rams.

Construction bids for the first phase of the UW-LaCrosse stadium complex have come in $2.3 million higher than anticipated and UW-LaCrosse Foundation offiicals said another $2 million must be raised in seven days to keep the project on track.  Work was to begin later this spring.   A tight construction timeline and uncertain econoomic conditions likely contributed to the higher than anticipated costs.  Fundraising for Phase 1 has reched $14.1 million but project leaders need to demonstrate they have the entire projected cost of $16.1 million lined up before the bids can be approved and work started.

The first phase of the project will include the concourse and west side grandstands, the track, the football field and intramurals fields, lighting and the Veterans Hall of Honor.

Good luck.

Considering he is listed on UWW's roster at 5-9 200, I doubt any Warhawks people have the moral high ground on someone getting Beaver's measurements wrong. :)

Considering the extremely poor quality of the Milw Journal Sentinel, the fact that they got his name right is a major accomplishment.  I wouldn't have been surprised if they had indicated him as Jebediah Bevinski, nose tackle for the Uw-Whitewater Pointers.
