BEAVER-BELIEVER

I just saw on the Royal Purle which is the official student newspaper for UW-Whitewater has this on their website.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel is reporting that the Green Bay Packers will not sign UW-Whitewater running back Justin Beaver. However, there has been no official word from the Packers organization or the university.
I am hoping that this is incorrect but is correct. It has been a great four years of watching Justin Beaver and to just make it to the real professional football  leagues team rookie mini camp  especially with all of the fake ones around is an accomplishment in it's self.
Congrats Justin and good luck in whatever you decide to do.
I am still a beaver believer.

Congrats to Beaver on giving it everything he had..  Who knows if someone goes down in GB, he is just a phone call away..  Hopefully he still can land an alternative option back for some OTA's and a full team mini camp like Englebert did last year with the Bengals.  None-the less it was an amazing career for Justin!!  For you guys that know Justin personally, what are his thoughts on the CFL?? Or was it NFL or bust for him much like it was for Englebert??

Beaver's contract hopes with the Packers' aren't dead yet according to WQOW TV-27 in Madison...

Michigan Drops To Division III In Polls Following Second Loss

ANN ARBOR, MI—Coaches and players reacted philosophically Tuesday to the news that Michigan, which fell out of the USA Today polls' Top 25 following their loss to Appalachian State, is now ranked in Division III after a disastrous defeat at the hands of Oregon. "Naturally, I disagree with the voters, but as long as we're here, I think we owe it to our fans to try and make it to the [Div. III championship] Stagg Bowl at the end of the year," said Wolverines coach Lloyd Carr, who has led Michigan to four straight losses and their first 0-2 home season start since 1959. "I just hope the voters in this division's poll keep an open mind and take our strength of schedule into account." Michigan is currently ranked seventh in Division III football, ahead of fan-favorite Wesley but behind perennial powerhouse UW-LaCrosse.

Nothing wrong with a repeat chuckle. Easy on the Captain for not being caught up, Mr. Yipsi.  He is busy working full time and coaching DB's for one of those, "fake," professional football leagues, according to beaver believer.  (You may think the league is fake, BB, but I hear there is nothing fake about the hitting.)  Doubt he has time to waste a few hours every morning on PP like many of us do.  ;) ;D

And Captain, congrats to the Bonecrusher's on your new starting QB.  Tell your WR's to mind their fingers.  The kid throws a rocket!

God I hate those fake football leagues....Do they even use a real ball?  I heard they put a touch of helium in the ball so you can throw it farther.
I also hear they put spikes on the shoulder pad (like the legion of doom) to add some blood to the game.

Fake league, what does that mean?

Kira & Jaxon's Dad

Helium in a football is a myth.  MuthBusters did an episode on it.

So with similar logic any NFL team that plays indoors...regardless of playing surface (i.e. grass, artificial grass, astro turf)...is playing the game "not how it is meant to be". I do see you make a direct correlation between outdoors/indoors in regard to the AFL but that logic is completely absurd.

You might want to contact the Vikings and let them know that they don't play real football along with every other NFL team that has a dome stadium.   ::)

What makes it not real football is not that it's played inside but that there is not 11 players, only certain people can rush, the field is short and a host of other differences. Given all that I still find it interesting to watch but I guess it is kind of  "fake football." Glad to hear Razor and Jimmy doing well....

It's not "fake football"...it is "Arena Football" or "indoor football". There is a name change for a reason...different rules. Why is this so hard for people to understand  ???  It is still a "real" sport with defined rules and plenty of competition.

Bingo!  Calling it, "fake football," is disrespectful to the talented athletes that wish to continue to play/coach the game of football in whatever, "different,"  form that takes.
