  I thought I was doing a nice gesture and report information that I was told about.

Except there's not any actual information.

Hmm, I didn't think Post Patterns was around in the 90's when Mount Union was loading their team with D-1 transfers (just kidding):-\
When did Post Patterns make it's debut?

July 7, 1999.

OK, early 2000's.  ::)

99% of Mt. Union's players are homegrown?  Not a chance.  That is  a unreal comment.

I know something all of you dont know........

Homegrown meaning they started their college FOOTBALL career at Mount Union not meaning they are from OH.  My guesstimate may be a little high, but I am fairly confident it is at least 95%.

Well there is one Warhawk transfer that I am interested in seeing play....Joe Munn. Joe had a solid season on the baseball team and was on the all-World Series team. His father indicated that baseball was his second sport, football being primary. He says he will likely be receiver or defensive back. Seems like the need is greater for the Hawks at DB and Joe has good size. Joe is a high school buddy of Danny Jones and came to UWW because of Danny.

I know what you mean.  Mt Union gets alot of transfers.  95% even not a chance.

UW-Whitewater artificial turf project is underway.  Fencing surrounding Perkiins Stadium was removed today.  Old scoreboard (South end) is also scheduled to be torn down with bulldozers scheduled for later this week.  Turf project scheduled to be completed by early August.

Any way we can get ahold of some of the "Junk" from the excavation?

STOP the bulldozer. The scoreboard should go to the QB club in one piece. They could put it up at their stomping grounds. Hell of a momento.  ;D Can a pad be built for cannon guy so he has a flat surface to fire from with camouflage, smoke arresting and sound deading systems so the NCAA won't raise a fuss during playoffs.   Or maybe a similar arrangement up on the hill.  He has to get some respect out of all the work.

A couple things about this have peaked my interest.  First, seeing that old scoreboard torn down with bulldozers would be pretty  8) to witness.  Personally, I would use dynamite, but a few bulldozers will make a lot of noise, too!! Secondly, it might be nice to send the Wesley coach a message about the project.  I'm sure it will make his day (if not, bring back a few more sleepless nights)!!

Is the old scoreboard still funtional?  If so, I would hope they'd salvage it.  I'm sure there's a nearby high school somewhere that would like an inexpensive (or donated) second hand scoreboard.  Those aren't cheap.

Actually, Just Bill, I agree with part of your comment.  My thoughts are that scoreboards as old as that one, are very cheap - but, to the point of having no real value - because it's so technologically obsolete.  Maintenance costs alone probably make it not worth the trouble having around. Most donations are a great win/win situation, but not with this thing - I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of that deal!  With that said, I'm sure someone would still take it if offered!! :-\

The old Perkins (aka Warhawk) Stadium scoreboard is circa 1969.  The technology is soooo outdated that replacing parts is virtually impossible.  Maybe that is why area schools have not jumped at the chance to be its new owners.

Thanks for the confirmation, voice.  I thought that was the same scoreboard I was in awe with on dedication day vs Trinty 38 years ago.
