I +karmed you both.  Always got to help Stealth out of the messes he gets into from time to time.  Really, Stealth.  You just can't resist wandering over there from time to time and pi$$ing off the neighbors, can you.    ;) :D ;D

                    Happy Father's Day to all!

Not sure how much longer the video will be available, but for those who are interested, here's a link to the La Crosse Tribune, which has a short clip of the demolition of UWL's Memorial Field stands...

Although I realize the need for a new stadium, it's painful for this sentimental fool, who grew up but three blocks away from it, to watch, seeings there's a lot of good nostalgia associated with it...

You'll have to search in the right hand column under "Videos" for the "Roger Harring Stadium" demolition clip...

Wow, just like that, stealth gets dinged twice and me once - and in the middle of the night - what's wrong with this world?

The west coast fans have long made a habit of going through the MIAC boards late at night and smiting. Perhaps they've added to the WIAC to their nightly rounds.

Talk about a lousy hobby...geez...how about turning off the smite button between the hours of 2-7am eastern time...or include an applaud/smite public listing in the message board stats - that might stop some of the shenanigans?

I'm disappointed they don't use a giant wrecking ball on a long chain, like in a Bugs Bunny cartoon.  That would be more entertaining.
"That seems silly and pointless..." - Hoops Fan

The first and still most accurate description of the D3 Championship BeltTM thread.

Agreed.  I watched the old Milwaukee Auditorium get torn down with a wrecking ball...much more entertaining than the methodical technique being used in LaCrosse.

Interesting article about the positive effect on applications at Whitewater as a result of the sports programs' success (ignore the idiotic banter afterwards)....

UW-Whitewater has gotten a big boost in interest in each of the past four years, with about 27 percent more applicants this year than in 2005. Officials attribute the flood of applications at UW-Whitewater to successful athletic teams, including a national championship in football, and popular programs in accounting and business. Steve McKellips, admissions director, also cites a more personalized recruiting strategy.

What's more pointless?

Debating one's karma score or winning the director's cup?

The competition gives a football championship the same weighting as a championship in rowing and badminton.  Is there any wonder why Williams wins every year?

Congrats to Trip and Buffy for bringing the director's cup back to Williams.  I bet they toasted their success with a fine glass of port.

Old Indian...This might be only point that you have ever presented that might have the slighest bid of merit.  I put major emphasis on slightest.  I read the boards long before I chose to become a memeber.

Klop, you mean it's better than this one...?

Look at it this way Hurricane.

LAX's only negative is its crappy stadium.  But in two years, we will have a brand new one.

Our school is better.  Our town is better.  Our bars are better.  Our girls are cuter.   Where do you think the talent will go?
Meanwhile, Swifel will start/continue using his contacts to pick guys out of your backyard.

Stick with your coach with the porn star name and you'll be fighting Stout for 3rd place.

say what you want, Old Indian always comes up with a good one!!

Klop said it, I agree, discussion over!

???

Anybody get the memo indicating retagent is now chief discussion moderator, judge and jury of the WIAC board?................anybody at all?........................didn't think so!!

I'm affraid that decision rests in a bit higher pay grade and with someone a little less bias than yourself.  ::)

If I had to choose an outsider to make these kinds of decisons I would pick kirasdad.  No hard feelings, though.

Only outside moderator is the Post Patterns Guru's as far as I am concerned.   ;)  During the off season, I am just happy to have a discussion on anything on the WIAC board to read.  Otherwise, the only entertainment is to hang around the MIAC thread!  Those boys are fun and never seem to run out of subject matter.   ;D
