What's more pointless?

Debating one's karma score or winning the director's cup?

The competition gives a football championship the same weighting as a championship in rowing and badminton.  Is there any wonder why Williams wins every year?

Congrats to Trip and Buffy for bringing the director's cup back to Williams.  I bet they toasted their success with a fine glass of port.

Karma is pointless.

The Director's Cup means more particularly if you happen to be the athletic director of an institution.  In DIII 18 sports (9 men, 9 women) are scored.   All are sports that the NCAA sponsors.  Previously the highest a WIAC program has finished is third (UW-Oshkosh, 1995-96).  Additionally both Oshkosh (1996-97) and Stevens Point (2003-04) have finished fifth.

Yep. It's pointless to bring up the Director's Cup... Sorry I did so...

For we all know that those who don't compete in the two major D3 sports - football and basketball - aren't real athletes and don't work as hard as those guys and gals do; those who compete in all the other sports certainly don't deserve to be recognized, nor do the schools they attend...

(For those "real" athletes, or "real" fans who only follow "big-time" sports who are reading this but can't comprehend it: yes, the sarcasm is intended and it's directed at you, all those of you who probably can't swim, play tennis, run track, row, fence, play baseball, volleyball or softball, golf, etc. and choose to belittle the achievements of these athletes...)

That's ok Bulk, it isn't the first pointless thing you've brought up so don't let it get you down.   :D ;)

WIAA makes final decision on shirtless fans
Yes, the WIAA was taking a lot of ridicule over this proposal, especially because the justification was so lame.

Basically the WIAA said that students can't be shirtless in class, therefore they shouldn't be shirtless at a game.  Many sane people correctly pointed out the students can also not cheer, yell, dance, chant in unison, play the trumpet and eat popcorn in class, but can do so at a game.

It was a dumb attempt to fix a problem that didn't exist in the first place.

The first and still most accurate description of the D3 Championship BeltTM thread.

There's only one way to find out if a man is honest...ask him. If he says 'yes,' you know he is a crook.

In honor and memory to George Carlin, I give you his monologue, The Planet is Fine.

WARNING: extremely humorous and a bit off-color at times (but you already know that!).
