BoBo - Get well. Take it easy and follow stealth's advice. Leave the dangerous stuff to the youngsters. ;)

Voice,  I saw the new Warhawk Football Poster on warhawkfootball.com.  Is there any way for an old 'Hawk to get his hands on a couple?  I would like to hang one in my classroom and maybe our locker room.

91 - The posters are currently at the printer.  You should have your posters in a couple of weeks.

Once a Warhawk-Always a Warhawk!

Where can you get the posters Voice... 85 grad here.

It's a good thing he returned since the way they are talking on the Rams blogs, he can't afford to miss any time due to injury in the Rams hotly contested WR race for a roster spot.

As for me, I'll be on the DL for an extended period - broke my ankle last Tuesday mountain/rock climbing, the first day of my vacation  :-[.  Actually makes sitting at the computer rather difficult, too.  So, I'll probably spend a lot of time in front of the television catching up on movies, etc.  Not the way I wanted to spend my vacation.

So sorry to hear about your lousy break, so to speak, BoBo.   ;)  Hope you feel better soon.  Ice, elevate and lots of pain management.

Good luck to Derek.  Sounds like he is making some noise.  He could always be counted on to make one or two jaw dropping catches a game so it is no surprise that he is doing the same in training camp.

SO............., I guess the Wisconsin Wolfpack just manhandled the Racine Raiders. I gotta say, it was pretty impressive considering the limited history of the Wolfpack and the long history of the Raiders.

Thanks for all the kind words, gentlemen...things are going about as well as can be expected.  I did have another acupuncture treatment today.  It really does wonders on the pain factor.

My accident was a non-accident compared to these guys on K2 in Pakistan. In every respect, I'm a non-climber compared to what they put their minds and bodies through. They need everyone's prayers.

what is this some kind of pissing contest....???

lets see what pg gets paid....

So I really didn't feel strongly about the second WIAC team I put on my top 25 ballot, but I couldn't very well look at some of the team I considered and think that the second-best WIAC team wouldn't beat them.

What do people think about the WIAC race?

UWW lost virtually everyone, but has recruited off three straight Stagg Bowls and a national championship.
UWEC people said was very fortunate to be 8-2 last season. One of those years where they played well but also caught a lot of breaks.
UWO and UWSP didn't seem to have a lot back (haven't read my Kickoff '08 yet to put an actual number on it)
UWL seemed to have the talent last season, but faded badly after the UWW shocker.

Platteville? River Falls? Stout? What up?

Thoughts?

It figures to be more wide open this year - at least at first blush.  UWW has managed to slide guys in to replace those departed.  Does anyone remember that the entire passing game was rebuilt, as well as the defensive front (cept for Griz) for 2007?  The tab is higher this year, no doubt, so we'll just have to see how they come together.

La Crosse is always capable of putting a playoff team together.  Last year was a real head scratcher - and will their stadium situation cost them any home field advantage?

Eau Claire had a solid season - can they take the next step (remain healthy)?  Point faded badly in the second half of 2007 - so what can we expect this year?  Oshkosh lost a one-point game to EC, or they may have been the WIAC team that went toe-to-toe with Bethel in the second round.  They have to replace Moriarty.

Stout?  Not a great record last year, but they had a number of close games.  Can they take the next step?  River Falls and Platteville showed offensive firepower - can they stop anybody on D?

Lots o' questions.  I'm looking for the freshman studs (or possibly incoming transfers) to tip the scales in whatever direction.  As close as it could be, maybe we'll see a logjam at the top.
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

He did sign a 4 year contract (details with-held) but I guess that doesn't matter in the NFL until he makes the 53 man roster.

Contrary to popular belief, Justin Beaver was found to actually have a large "S" on his chest and he actually is INVINCIBLE.
