Grammar abuse is the last refuge of the poor debater, Hogan.  Don't sweat it.

To get to the pick 'ems, click on "Post Patterns" in the bread trail above.  You see a reference to "Pick 'ems" by the link to the General Boards.  The WIAC pick 'em is there.

Or you can just follow this link

According to columnist Jeff Gordon's analysis of Thursday nights Rams/Chiefs game in St.Ltoday.com,

"Brandon Williams and Derek Stanley didn't do anything special with their kick return opportunities, leaving Dante Hall unchallenged (if healthy) for that role."

...However, just noticed on the NFL transaction wire that the Rams have cut 10 players, including Marques Hagans, one of the others on the short list for the remaining WR position.  I guess that would be promising news, but still, three remain in the running for probably 1 roster slot, Stanley, Brandon Williams, and Caldwell.  Have to remember, Brandon Williams, the former Badger, is a St. Louis-area high school product, I believe....things will be finalized Sunday.

As only a casual observer, it would seem to me that Stanley's versatility would put him ahead of a somewhat one-dimensional Dante Hall. Although he may not have done anything special, getting it out past the 20 consistently and not fumbling seems to be at least a little bit special IMHO.

What a great turnout...someone's going to really have to earn the championship this year (no offense ff413, but I think you might know what I mean).

I'm going to renew my suggestion that we count a national/regional bonus game in the standings.  I think it makes good sense and will be interesting.  Maybe the WIAC games could be worth 2 points each and the bonus game 1 point.  nate, as administrator, do you have any thoughts?  Anyone else care to give an opinion?  I realize the games are posted on the pick'em page without a national/regional game - but we have a week to reach a decision.

I don't like to have a national game, cause I don't want to take the time to research them and just take wild guesses. But then I don't care one way or another.
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

Agent Orange

As predicted, the Rams kept six receivers, not seven or eight.

j'flash, it wouldn't take heavy research to pick a game without a wild guess.  Just spend 5 minutes less in the bathroom one morning a week (that's what I do) and use that time to read the Around the Nation page. You're likely to get all the information required and then some to make an informed pick. Sometimes, when I can't give up that 5 minutes (and you know what I mean  ;) ), I just take my laptop in the bathroom with me as a sit pondering world events.  That way, you'll get the best of both worlds.   :D

Laptop in the bathroom?  ???

Reminds me of the Seinfeld episode with George and the book he was trying to return.

I was halfway through your comment and thinking I've got a good punch line for this.  And then you go and steal it for real.  Do you have to pay the repair man double if the keys get sticky?

WELL.............offense taken!!   There may have only been 12 participants last season but it was not like they weren't a talented bunch!!!!  ;) :D ;D

I agree with the need to pick one bonus game a week tallied separately to be a tie breaker at the end of the season if needed.  With this big a crowd, I wouldn't be surprised to see a log jam at the top at the end of only 10 weeks.

You are looking at this all wrong, JF.  Any time spent on PP should never be considered time wasted.   8)
