Stealth,  I believe the WARHAWK/EC game does count in the conference standings and the second meeting later in the season is the nonconference matchup.  It was originally intended to be a nonconference game but I'm pretty sure I remember reading that the two were switched around.

This Saturday's game at EC has been designated the conference game.  The game on Nov. 1 in WW will be a non-conference game.   I believe the reason being is that designating the second game as the WIAC game would allow both teams to make adjustments after playing one game against the opponent earlier in the season.  Makes sense to me.

Imagine the scenario if, as was the case last year, both WW and EC make the playoffs? It would set up a potential third game between the two schools.  I wonder if that has ever happened in D3?

UW-RF fans making the trip to Colllegeville this weekend, please consider joining us for the Stiftungsfestivities tailgate party Saturday morning. We are located in the parking lot above the scoreboard end of the field. The grills are usually going by 10:30 a.m., though a few of us are always there by 8:00 a.m. to begin socializing. Bring a culinary delight to share if you like. Cheese curds would be wonderful. We serve the best burgers in North America. Hope to see you there.

You sure, Bobo?  The Johnnies' All-America defensive tackle Nick Gunderson is out for the season with a blown knee.  Might as well hop on and drive the UW-RF bandwagon early in the week while things are looking good...

That's certainly a set-back for them...but I doubt it's going to create a black hole at DT that will allow River Falls to find the promise land.  I'm sure SJU will uncover someone off that deep roster that can fill in adequately - maybe not at the AA level - but I doubt they will miss a beat.

BTW, if the Falcon bandwagon has in fact left the station, it's leaving prematurely.  But, one thing is certain, you won't find me on board!!  Don't get me wrong, as a WIAC guy, I would enjoy having the pre-season #6 team (last seasons 7 place team) in the WIAC play a competitive game against the MIAC elite on the road considering the #6 team in the MIAC probably doesn't get within 2/3 touchdowns (or more) of the elite.  Good luck to both teams...hope you have a good, safe game.

Johnnie Red you remain the gentleman of D3football.  :)

Falcon fans, may I suggest you take the Johnnie hospitality to heart? Best burgers in the world. I've been there a couple times and am going back.

But it's always polite to bring something. I see JR suggests some cheesecurds. And I suggest Leinenkugels, discreetly. 8)

D3 football fans who would like to hear what Pat Coleman has to say about the big EC/Whitewater clash should tune in on Sat. morning to our WESTERN WISCONSIN SPORTS SATURDAY.  The show is sponsored by our own BDB every Sat. morning from 8-10 on WMEQ am 880 or WBIZ am 1400.  You can get us anywhere on WMEQ.com by clicking on LISTEN LIVE.  In addition to Pat Coleman at 9:20, we plan to talk to EC's Todd Glaser at 8:05, WW"s radio guy Gary Douglas at 9:05 and Stout's Duey Naatz at 9:35.  Because we really need to throw those Minnesota guys a bone, we will talk to radio and newspaper legend, Patrick Reusse at 8:20.  Tune in.  If lots of people listen to our show show BDB gives us free gas and tons of money.

Is the broadcast still prohibited listening overseas?  I remember trying to connect last year and we weren't allowed. If I help provide your gas, will I be able to listen in Korea?

It was my impression that you can connect overseas, but check with BDB on that.  He is Mr. Tech and has all the answers.  If he doesn't have an answer, he makes one up.

BoBo, odd that you couldn't connect last year. I know we've had people listen from overseas before.

Give it another shot I guess. What time will it be there when it is 8am CDT here?

BDB, it will be 10PM, +14 hours CDT. I don't think it's my computer because I've tried it with different equipment.  However, I intend to give it another try this weekend.
