In the post editor, click on the little Globe and two url tags will appear.

Next to the first url (and inside the bracket) put an equal sign and the web address in quotes, as in ="http://www.oshdudeneedsithelp.com"

In between the two tags type the text you want linked, as in Source

Saw this nugget on RotoTimes.com:
Rams wideout Derek Stanley is on the practice squad, but he took first-team reps in practice and could be promoted, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

EDIT: Could someone explain the trick of getting a link embedded directly in words, like "Link" or "source" in my sentence? Thanks.

OshDude, or simply do this - To embed a link, use the [ url = linkname]  code with a [ /url ] following the text you want to embed (without the spaces, obviously).

As follows:  [ url = http://www.wiacsports.com/] your source for the best in Division III sports!! [ /url]  would read like this:

"your source for the best in Division III sports!! "  as a hyperlink to the WIAC homepage.

Hope this helps explain it...

And, upon hearing Joe Jacobi of the 'Skins say: "I'd run over my own mother to win the Super Bowl," -- Matt Millen of the Raiders said: "To win, I'd run over Joe's Mom, too."

Amarillo High School and Oiler coach Bum Phillips when asked by Bob Costas why he takes his wife on all the road trips, Phillips responded: "Because she is too ugly to kiss good-bye." (Dead man walkin'!!!)

I guess with the Lions, Matt Millen could never find Jacobi's mom.   :-\

Bum's wife probably has a good sense of humor, too!!

I thought I'd add a few to those already shared......

Most football teams are temperamental. That's 90% temper and 10% mental.

Maybe a good rule in life is never become too important to do your own laundry.

I wouldn't ever set out to hurt anyone deliberately unless it was, you know, important -like a league game or something.

Football is, after all, a wonderful way to get rid of your aggressions without going to jail for it.

I'd catch a punt naked, in the snow, in Buffalo, for a chance to play in the NFL.

I may be dumb, but I'm not stupid.

Football combines the two worst things about America: it is violence punctuated by committee meetings.
-George F. Will

When I went to Catholic high school in Philadelphia, we just had one coach for football and basketball. He took all of us who turned out and had us run through a forest. The ones who ran into the trees were on the football team.
-George Raveling

The reason women don't play football is because eleven of them would never wear the same outfit in public.

Being in politics is like being a football coach. You have to be smart enough to understand the game and dumb enough to think it's important.

Football players, like prostitutes, are in the business of ruining their bodies for the pleasure of strangers.

Just an observation but the photo of Royce Winford of Augsburg on the main page shows him wearing illegal gloves.  The NCAA it thought only allowed gray.
I may not have much to say, but I'll say it anyway.

The 2007 Rules and Interpretations agreed with your observation, pastprime:

Rule 1-4 (page FR-31) Section 4 Players & Playing Equipment, Article 3d states:

"d. If worn, gloves or hand pads must be gray in color. The recommended
shades of gray are Pantone Cool Gray 8C, Cool Gray 9C, 423C and
430C
."

Unless that rule has been changed in 2008 (I haven't seen the new book), he would be in violation of the rule.

EDIT:  I found the 2008 Rules and Intrepretations and the rule hasn't changed.  It looks like he's wearing white/black/maroon gloves.  He should be suspended immediately, all his TD's, receptions, INT's etc removed from the official stats, and Augsburg forced to forfeit their wins.  If they're going to break this rule, it makes you wonder how many other rules they might be breaking.  :D   ;D   :P   A complete investigation is necessary.

Of course I am just kidding for those of you you couldn't tell

You did not go on to describe the penalty for this infraction.  Is it an unsportsmanlike penalty?

Does anyone here believe that the CCIW is a better conference than the MIAC as is how they are rated in the new d3football.com rankings?

KitchenSink

Well, if the CCIW would play the WIAC in a few more non-conf's, maybe we could have a spirited discussion on this board.

Actually, that would go for the MIAC, too.  One game per season for the entire conference makes it tough to stack 'em up side by side.
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

There would be no penalty.  Once noticed, the referee would simply tell the player to remove them.  The player would not be allowed to particiapte until he complied.

MIAC or CCIW.....Don't really know who is better.....St.Johns/Bethel and Wheaton/North Central/Augustana are usually good these last few years but not good enough.....How important that is to WIAC supporters I am not certain. One thing I know is that this week at the Perk the tailgate looks solid with Italian Beef and Sausage on the menu as remnants of the Goo Crew returns to watch Coppage and the Oline Pound the Rock against LAX....See you all at the Perk Saturday!......Tom Moore brings the soup.....
