Your not endearing yourself to the thousands of Neil Diamond fans who still think he's one of the greatest entertainers ever  :D . I've been around long enough to remember that show, but I still don't believe that concert had the largest crowd at Warhawk/Perkins Stadium.  I remember the crowds at some of those DCI events and I could swear they had more...but, that's beside the point...

If my memory serves me correctly the Neil Diamond concert is credited with drawing the largest crowd.  Whether it's his concert or the marching bands crowd we need to break it with a real event, like a football game.

Langer made a good showing for himself and the staff is excited about his future.  I'm sure he'll play again in the future though it will probably depend on either the score or Donovan's performances.  Donovan is the #1 guy right now and nothing Langer did against UPS changed that.   I think Langer definitely has the strongest arm of the group.

I think LaCrosse will stack the line of scrimmage to control the running game.  They'll stunt and blitz alot and dare us to beat them passing.  Donovan's performance is always important but it's going to be particularly critical in this one.

I'm not sure why Void isn't higher on the depth chart but Spaulding is a player who started on the scout squad and shot up to the traveling roster by his work in practice.

Nice work Shermy on the nomination.  Oshfb try not to break your arm patting yourself on the back about how hard you worked.  Also remember you have to be good a football to be nominated.

Actually one of the 4 nominated isn't a starter (albeit he was at the beginning of the season and may very well end up the starter by seasons end)...I'm giving the benefit of the doubt that you didnt mean "Also remember you have to be good a football to be nominated" as a personal attack but rather an attempt at insightful information. Or maybe you're assuming people who are good at football are rarely good in the classroom...but are in fact excellent at PE. I'll try not to "break" my arm, thanks for the concern.

Congratulations Shermy. Oshfb sounds like a tool right now but the last time I checked it's common practice in Oshkosh to belittle the accomplishments of others to try and make themselves look better. Too bad opinions don't win football games.

Man, rough crowd. Best of luck to UWO this weekend as Eau Claire games seem to always be tough games.

I had kids play at Osh and WW, so I'm a fan of both. I will say I'm not impressed with dissing Sherman, or anyone getting nominated for the award though.
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

I apologize for sounding as though I was personally knocking any of the four nominated...if that was how it was taken my point was missed. Again, I apologize.

stealth

Sorry Mrs. Stealth and I can't make the road trip to the Perk as wee stealth jr. is on deck for a big game against the cross town rivals. LB is his thing and has the Rabel mentality. Has one knock out on his 08 resume. Clean, but so Moe like it was eerie. Please somebody in the booth make sure that us non attenders can watch and listen. Bobo hope the connection issues are all sorted out.  Brats on the grill and cold ones a plenty in celebration of a run away. Hawks by a bunch. Be safe all including the LAX'rs.

I've been reading a bit this fall, but haven't had time to really comment so far!!!  I sure have enjoyed the last 3 Stagg Bowls though hosting the WW teams and fans at Stone Station.  Here's hoping that this year brings anothe visit from you guys down our way!  I would really personally love that to happen.  This game this weekend is pretty crucial and I hope that the team is ready to go and win it!  Big or small, winning it is the key to keeping the momentum going!!  Sending e-brownies to all the players and to the parents and supporters as well.  Hope to see you all soon.  A special big hello to Ftball fan 413!!  :) :)
Brownies for Film Day--Now there's a Slogan I can live with!!!:)  Go EAGLES!

I'll have to wait for game time to know if it will work...if it doesn't, I'll be in for a long night.  :(

Wow!  Wish I were in Whitewater tomorrow!  It's setting up to be a perfect day.  1) LaCrosse  2) The Perk 3) Sunny/Mid 60's/Light wind 4) Badgers are not at home/same time 5) LaCrosse

If there are 4000 tickets purchased already, we very well could break the attendance record.

I hope that we can set an attendance record.. I'm sick of seeing the Perk half empty... especially from the students...

Have to take exception to this SD.  The student attendance for the home opener was exceptional in my opinion.  The section was full and very loud!  I expect nothing less tomorrow.

BoBo _ thanks for remembering. I was waffling in my own mind a bit, deciding whether I would attend the UWW/UWL game or listening to the SJU/Bethel tilt. Right now I'm leaning toward the WIAC clash. Since UWL plays its home games this year in my birth place, I'm torn as to who to cheer for though.
