BREAKING NEWS:  It's been reported on the NFL Injury Report (scroll down to Rams vs Patriots game), that the Rams reportedly reported to the NFL today that Stanley reported for full participation in practice. This is only a report, but reportedly, the NFL Injury Report is as official as it comes.

A win over Point on Saturday gives UWW 26 straight wins in the conference, breaking the record of 25 consecutive wins by La Crosse in the old WSUC from 1949-1954.

Well if this doesn't sound like a jinx... 8)

Yes indeed, I can't wait till the "perk"ing lot. This week we'll be featuring Warhawk McMuffins at 10:00, then italian sausage burgers at half time. Hopefully the game will be in hand by then and we can start the victory party early, like last week!

What does everyone else plan on eating/bringing this saturday? I know I smelt some goodness around the perking lot last week.

Do it 'Hawks!

Point pulls off the upset at the Perk', knocking off the 'Hawks 17-16.

Point scored with 0:15 left, and went for two, instead of the tie.  They convert and end Whitewater's WIAC winning streak.

Congrats to Point for a great final drive...the penalty on the 3rd and 10 was a crucial mistake of many mistakes for the Warhawks today and with a key pass after the 5 yard walk off, by Beckwith, fueled the 84 yard drive in 1:33.

The goal line stand, forcing a warhawk FG, a blocked XP on the warhawk first TD, and a INT in the end zone contribute greatly in the loss.  Credit Point for closing the deal when the Warhawks couldn't.

Makes the rest of the race interesting...Point is in the drivers seat, but they got three tough games coming up.

It did not appear that the Falcon D came to play today, allowing 340 yards rushing, most of them in the second half.
The absence of Zweifel, who did not play because of an injury suffered during warmups, was a factor, but I'm not sure that RF would have won with him. Stout was ready, RF was not.

The extent of Z's injury is unknown at the time. He left the field early in the game, perhaps for xray, but I'm not sure of that. I heard the injury was to a knee, but though he was in uniform, he was not limping on the sideline during second half.

BoBo, I agree, today's WW loss was MY Fault.  I'm old enough to know not to write stuff that can come back and kick you in the hind end :-[

Congrats SP on a well executed game, those short slants killed us all game

wow, what a tough one to swallow. Pointer's wanted it more than whitewater did, that was clear. i guess I can't complain too much after the 4 years of WIAC dominance. all the steaks had to end eventually. hopefully this young team can learn something from the loss, and "not take your opponents for granted," (rightfully stated on the postgame show). Coppage didn't have much alleys to run through and Donavan didn't look comfortble in the pocket all game. I wasn't used to watching a flustered whitewater team, I think they showed a bit their inexperience/youth today.

for the first time in 4 years Whitewater has to do some scoreboard watching over the next month, to see how the WIAC unfolds. It should make for an interesting final three weeks of the regular season.

I think i speak for all UWW fans when I say: Next saturday can't come fast enough....

#2, #3, and #4 all lost today, wow. Big shake up in the DIII polls

BoBo

The question I have:  is the current #5 really going to move up to #2 (not sure they are in that class) and/or how far do the #'s 2-4 fall?

Does this mean that Point and Whitewater have to win out for the WIAC to get two teams in again this year ??
